I don't want to sound like I don't like this. (Wouldn't make much sense if I didn't like this now would it?) No, on the contrary it's absolutely great to see a big company support things like that.

They are taking a risk with this too and I'm just not sure where they got the motivation to pull such a move. They've received quite a beating because of ME3 and DA2 heaving gay romance options. I wonder what will happen now after this announcement.

 

Thanks EA, I guess. Now try to be a good game publisher too.

 

Most definitely, give us the kind of game we deserve and want, not just some hash up designed to get the most bucks possible in as little time as possible before moving on to the "next big thing". With DAO they were onto a winner, a superb story, brilliant characters that you could love or hate as you chose, amazing options and great modding abilities.

 

Things started to change with DAA and I guess we saw the standards drop with the choices being reduced and the options lessened, and then with DA2 we had a continuation of a brilliant storyline, but no continuity within the story itself. It was left hanging. The DLCs, whilst being rich in characters and story, did nothing to bring the main story together, in fact left us with even more questions than answers.

 

I do hope that DA3 will bring together DA2 and have cohesion and focus as DAO did. The bringing together of amazing characters and the creation of a hero that we want individually would be excellent.

 

Enough of my rant, I just hope that EA make a stand for the gamers and give us what we want.... we pay their bills after all :D :D :D
