I hear Walking Dead? I never watched the series, but I played the games. Just finished Episode 3 a few days ago, that was the most depressing and sad game I ever played in my entire life. It's getting worse and worse with every episode, but this one was extreme :/ I mean, the game is amazing, but the story is so dark it could make you cry easily. I recommend it to everyone :D

Yeah anyway. Good morning/night to everyone.

I've been thinking of getting some Scorpions. I've kept arachnids plenty in the past, mostly Tarantulas, but I've since been reading that there's a few species of Scorpion and Spider in Victoria, and that I might be able to re-build my collection. I gave my previous two scorpions and two Ts to a friend when I left Brisbane-I'd assumed the snowey winters of Vic would prevent large arachnids evolving, apparently not, since there's two species of Tarantula and a few species of scorpion. I never understood the hate some people have for spiders, yes some can hurt you, but yes some people can hurt you too. Does that make me a violent criminal, because I come from a country with a history of genocide? No, and likewise you shouldn't write off all spiders since a few(13 out of 49,000+) species can hurt you.

Take this for example. It's an Avicularia(the big one), it comes from South America, likes hot climates, and lives in trees. Fully grown it can be bigger than a DVD, and the largest of them eat mice. Is it dangerous? not one tiny bit. In fact, you can actually pick up and handle them, they're a bit skittish, but they're gentle, and rather dopey most of the time, being the spider equivalent of a python; a trapper, rather than a hunter.

And this one's a Lasiodora Parahybana. It's just a nymph, about 2 days old, but in a few years time, it'll be even bigger than the Avicular, infact, this little thing grows into the biggest living spider on earth, the mighty Brazilian Pink Bird Eater, which can easily grow to the size of a human hand, and often bigger than one. It can't hurt you much either. But you've got to admit, it's kinda cute now.
