In far north Queensland, Winter is better than Summer. Far better.

Winter = less heat, less humidity, more feral pigs to hunt, no jellyfish, less rain

Summer = die of exhaustion from doing nothing, no pigs, snakes everywhere, jellyfish, rains a crap load

Oh well, at least it is winter there now. Only 3 days and I shall be reunited with it! :D

One of my dogs tore the ear of one of our other dogs about one and a half inches up. :(

Although the other dog has been asking for it for years, he always growls at the younger one (who happens to be bigger) for no reason. He just doesn't even like him being near. Today my brother petted the younger one, Max, and then the two dogs growled for maybe a second and immediately started fighting. The younger one is... Five? The older one, who also has a brother we own, is almost twelve years old. He's always been kind of sickly. He had heartworms and tetanus and probably has arthritis and something else. He just constantly gets sick. He never wants to go outside very far, and he's grumpy, but he's all bark. Max isn't. He gets mean mean. Not just growling. He fights. And I really think its probably because of how mean our older two dogs are to him, and the fact that he gets yelled at for the fights when I am almost certain the older two start it. Either growling because he goes near HIS own food, or because he's too close to them. I've never liked the two older dogs we have, one is constantly eating all the food, and the other, like I said, is always sick.
Max BIT me and I still consider him my favorite dog. His leg was caught in a big wood palette and I helped him get it out. Somewhere in the process he grabbed my arm. I didn't even notice, I wasn't bleeding and it didn't hurt. Still had to go to the hospital, but nothing was broken and his teeth missed any blood vessels in my wrist.
He's just so gentle normally. And he always stands right beside his people. The only time I don't like him is when he goes after Mishka, our husky/wolf/malamute. She is the SWEETEST dog ever, and he just goes after her because he doesn't want to play anymore, or because HE steals from her and she comes over really sad and cautious looking. She hid behind me because he went after her once. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
I guess Max isn't the kind of dog to have around other dogs. He love to play with Mishka, but only when he is in the right mood.

ANYWAY, the old dog with the torn ear is back home and fine. They had to stitch the tear in his ear back together, but he wasn't whining like it hurt him and he should be fine according to the vets. He'll be spending some time away from the other dogs... Don't want them to fight again.

I love malamutes... the blue eyed ones especially and if I could I'd have one. Wolves are my totem and they are so wolf like I love them.

Oh and good morning
