At least where I live (Hawaii), you would be incredibly surprised how many people decide to jump into the ocean with their phones still on them. It's amazing. Or they pocket their phones after getting out of the ocean and then shower with it. Or if it isn't that, people leave their phones on shore on a beach mat, completely exposed for anyone to come and steal their stuff.
