Mostly, I'm just concerned about using the windscreen wipers (I know that sounds ridiculous, but I've never used them before) so I'll just ask my tutor about that before I go in.

 

I wouldn't worry about that-I've had my car for a while now and still frequently hit the indicator when I want to wipers and vice-versa lol. The problem is, my GF's Subaru and my Land Rover have their wiper lever and indicators on the steering column, in exactly the same place... ...but on the opposite sides. Car designers rank among the smartest folks you'll ever see, but this is one problem that's been like this for over a hundred years, and only Mercedes-Benz has solved it so far(wipers that turn themselves on and off as needed)

Haha yeah, we had a land rover for a about 10 years when I was a kid, and Dad frequently comments on that situation. :tongue:

 

And also... woohoo! I passed! FINALLY! :D

I'm only $550 short of when I first started, but at least I have passed.

And yeah, I have a Defender as my daily drive-there's no other car on Earth I have greater respect for. They will go, literally anywhere that can be accessed by road, and if you've got even the most basic mechanical knowledge they're damn near unbreakable. As a tradesperson they're just perfect-I can fit two full toolboxes in the back and still have enough space for an entire engine or six tyres. And if that's somehow not enough, the seats literally bolt in and out so I can turn it into a van at will. AND there's a huge cargo rack on top. All in all it can pull nearly two tons, had zero trouble off-road shortcuts, and the engine's so well designed that I could service the entire car myself in about two hours. Yes, it's hot, uncomfortable, noisy and looks like a brick on wheels-but there's not another car on Earth even close to this practical.

We have a truck and the gear stick is on the steering column. It's weird to drive that after my car because without thinking I immediately reach for the middle of the floor towards the console and there's nothing there so I grasp at air.

Cheers. Yeah, the old landy was probably my favourite car that we've owned. It certainly was loud and rattly, but it could go anywhere and do anything. By far the best car we've ever owned, I reckon.

 

Also, I can't wait for FCO to be released. The character models and textures are improved so much that it looks like an entirely different game!

Perhaps. Neck seams are always a problem, sadly. Still, faces that look this good would be worth it in my opinion. Even if there is a neck seam, you can just get a mod to conceal it.
