How many times will a synapse, dendrite, along the neural network last before its write erase cycles break it down so new ones are needed to replace the worn out ones so it can carry on that part of the brains function? No idea. A neuron cell does not undergo mitosis though, so once it "breaks down" it won't get replaced. It's function just gets "rerouted".One's brain "operates" at peak capacity when one is about 28-29 years old though. After that, the long decline begins, so it's possible that, at a minimum, a single neuron lasts about 28-29 years of continuous write erase cycles.
