From the looks of the flow charts from the NOAA weather RADAR the snowfall occurred from a stream of clouds that came in from the Southwest and built up like a river flow through the middle of MT from South west to the middle and on to the East. It rained heavily in the mountains yesterday afternoon in blobs hitting my car. I heard sound just like tiny rocks hitting the windshield occasionally, but I could not see any. Tiny bits of dirt in the ice forming high up maybe, because dirt gets picked up when clouds form and is released back to the ground in the rain drops. And those were BIG raindrops. I found out the power poles for the city were knocked down by the wet soggy snow last night shortly after I shutdown my computer, monitor combo TV. I was awakened early this morning when the fan on the UPS sped so fast it got real noisy. I think it might of been a good thing my equipment was unplugged from any other of the non-surge protected wall sockets last night. My UPS is rated to stop a surge so strong that something that would cause the fan to speed up that much might well of burnt out any of my sensitive gear. :ohmy: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
