Deleted54170User
13 days before Halloween. It was a spooky coincidence that I brought up that childhood memory. I realize now that I met the Italian youngster almost a year before I learned about Vampires. I saw a classic movie on television late one night during a weekend staying with a friend overnight, my first year in Junior high school. I found out about Bela Lugosi, the famous star of Vampire movies, that year. Until you mentioned it the two instances never crossed paths in my thinking cap. Too bad the Italian bud I met isn't around so I can find out if he believes there are really vampires. :geek:

Deleted54170User
MORROWIND has mods for Halloween fun. Skyrim and Skyrim SE have vampires and werewolves in the game for your character. Some game play and mods are available that make us immune to vampire bites that turn people into vampires, or even, the werewolf bite (only takes one bite from a werewolf) that changes the person who is bitten. The Elder Scrolls Online MORROWIND has lots more fun stuff about becoming and/or keeping from becoming a vampire or a werewolf. Interesting coincidence here... In the Vampire movies of the 1940's; if a vampire likes their intended victim a vampire has to bite their intended on the neck three times. One bite on three different nightly visits. They have to curb their hunger without draining the victims life completely. Killing the King/Queen of vampires is the only way to rid yourself of the lower ranking vampire's curse upon the victim. Unless you really want to play a vampire in Skyrim or from a mod in Morrowind's Qarl's The Underground 2 during your game play in the game don't get bitten even once, if at all possible. If you ever want to remove the curse of becoming a vampire ask the vampire if he/she is the King/Queen of vampires before letting them bite you. Make them prove it! While the person who would become a werewolf isn't liked by the werewolf, instead is saved by villagers who drive the werewolf away, after the victim has been bitten but not killed. The person has two months to find and kill the werewolf that bit them to stop their own transformation. A person bitten by a werewolf isn't one until after three months or three cycles of full moons. The changes don't begin to change the person until the third month, and then, are permanent. Once a the person bitten by a werewolf is fully changed they are a werewolf with no way to cure them self after the third full moon.

Deleted54170User
I just looked up the eight most known vampires in the Earth's History. Hemophiliacs all. Have you ever visited the sanctuary about the lives of vampires has it's history in a dark corner of the Louvre? Somehow I don't think many people even realize what a Hemophiliac is. Oblivionaddicted
I know what hemophilia is and I'm glad I don't have this problem. Knowing any little wound can turn into a hemorrhage must be extremely nerve racking.
Deleted54170User
:teehee:  Oh! Yay! (click here > I <ereh kcilc)(click here > Win! <ereh kcilc)(Or here > Easy as Pizza < and here > (pie). < to see my two mods) There are other types of illness that could explain where people got the ideas to call other people vampires. I believe it was because people learned how to give transfusions from a person donating their blood for another in need that gave hemophiliacs hope. Hemophiliacs would likely have been commonly thought of as vampires due to their need for blood transfusions. Thus the illness that held the strongest similarity to what we think of as vampirism. Blood sucking, was likely seen when a glass pipe that had an enlarged glass bubble was used for transfusions. The pipe was pressed to the vein and a doctor sucked on the other end of the pipe to draw blood from a donor and then switched to the patient and gently pumped into their vein. The ancient doctor might have been thought of as being a vampire to anyone who saw the act going on in the street services or from an open window on their medical wagons. There are recorded histories from ancient Egyptian times that doctors practiced outdoors in the open, right out side in front of their shop or homes. Ancient Egyptian records and human skulls from their time have given us facts that medical people even performed brain surgery outside in the open air. Oblivionaddicted
It seems like the myth of vampires is as old as the nosocomial diseases.
Deleted54170User
It seems like the myth of vampires is as old as the nosocomial diseases. Nosoocomial diseases have been around longer and in various countries doctors still practice outdoor surgery on patients. In tents, like doctors without borders working from inside wagons, using contraptions in tents, and where ever they can find emptied buildings to make into temporary hospitals making an old building's room clean enough, and some working in the great outdoors near a battlefield. I took the field medic tests during military training. We learned to patch up the soldier enough to be able to get them to a M. A. S. H. unit. Some practices are still being carried on that were also done outdoors in major metropolises, just like way back; thousands of years ago. And Yeah! (click here > I <ereh kcilc)(click here > Win! <ereh kcilc)(Or here > Easy as Pizza < and here > (pie). < to see my two mods)
