Monolithic0117
After hearing the awful stories about the PC version's multiplayer, I have decided to steer clear of the multiplayer. I'll just be getting it for the single player and Special Ops modes. Multiplayer in these kinds of games don't usually interest me, anyway. A couple reviews have been released for the 360 and PS3 versions: http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/...n%20warfare%202http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/...n%20warfare%202 I also dislike the way the multiplayer has been handled. Forgoing dedicated servers for the peer-to-peer system is a horrible move, if you ask me. The treatment the PC version is getting hasn't been sitting right with me, either. No lean feature? No modding tools? No special editions?
Skree000
Securom and other DRM naziware only PROMOTES piracy because its so hard for legit honest folks to actually get the damn programs running properly. Securom specifically treats all users as pirates from the get go and has nothing but limits, restrictions and boundaries that make things exceedingly difficult for almost everyone. Whats that? Got DaemonTools on your computer? Well, in Securom's eyes you are now a Software pirate, so your installed program wont work anymore. Haha! (happened to me with fo3, had to format the whole damn computer and dl the ripped copy of the game i already purchased from the store, just to get it to run lmao)Yes, Piracy is convenient, free and easy, but if you like the games and play them, BUY THEM! Or we wont be in business for long lol i dl'd a ripped copy of GTA4PC to see how the video editor works and if i should invest in it... I loved it.. so then i went out and bought it, next day. I also then bought a xbox360 controller for pc to play it on. ;)I still own GTA4 for the xbox360, but i really loved the idea of a video editor... (btw heres the first ever gta4 video i made lol https://tv.rockstargames.com/videos/view/id/B4B7AD575F40B36E the vid editor is primitive but really fun :)

The real problem is Infinity Ward's disrespect for the community and abuse of the PC version. If you take a look at the official forums, they are filled with negativity, complaints, and abuse. Only 1/10 threads actually praise the game. The moderators are nowhere to be seen, technical support is virtually nonexistent. Most user reviews for MW2 in game sites are very low, averaging 1-3/10.The universal praise for the game is also rather suspicious, at least to me. IW seems to be weighing the scales to their favor. As you can see, the problems are as clear as daylight.
Skree000
oh i wasnt saying MW2 has problems with DRM, was just doing a side-rant sorry, should have put that in there before i went off on a tangent lmao
Monolithic0117
No problem, my post wasn't wholly directed towards you, anyway. I was just listing some of the more major problems for people to see.
Illiad86
Wow, are they getting greedy or what? Sheesh, paying $60 for a game already is way too much, especially now with all the DLC crap. Activision... They'll learn their lesson very quickly with this. Blizzard and them are together now, if they pull this crap with StarCraft 2 and Diablo III....omg I don't know what I'll do. :wallbash:
LHammonds
I have not read all the posts but I certainly think the company is going in the WRONG direction in terms of what they are offering...(from a PC owner perspective). My grips are that you can no longer create your own server for LAN parties. That is very irritating and seems like they are dumbing it down. They also significantly reduced the number of people that can be in the game during multiplayer. Huh? Bad decision in my opinion. I simply refuse to pay more for less when the ability to develop and release these games are getting easier for the developers. Especially with an established game that is getting iterative updates. I purchased a copy of COD4 for the XBOX and the PC but I doubt I'll be getting this COD unless it is in the bargin bin sometime in the future. ;) Sure would be nice if their marketing department did some actual research in pricing to see what pricepoint they can sell it for to make the most money. Marginal cost for massive sales seems to be working for Steam and iTunes. LHammonds
Strangeman
Pfft, just get everything from Steam, since they always have the newest in stock, the game will drop it's price in the matter of weeks. So stop complaining, it's global marketing, dog eat dog, capitalism is a ruthless game where the only winner is the greedy and bloodsucking businessmen who gave up their soul for an office with a nice view... That's not the point at all, and that ideology doesn't make sense. You can have a terrific game and still come out on top. And it doesn't matter if the game is produced by bloodsucking businessmen or white-suited saints, people don't want to buy inferior games. "Drop the price in a matter of weeks"? I'm afraid not. There are some games out there that still sell for their original price after years.
