Syntax1985
ugh this gaming lark is doing my head in. ive spent all day now look up mice and keyboards for gaming, and i still have NO idea which ones are good and which ones are rubbish. was just wondering if someone could recommend some to me, id say my budget for both would be £100 max, and it would really have to be worth it for me to spend £100. ty in advance. LHammonds
I am also looking for a good gaming keyboard with emphasis on programmable and back-lit keys. So far, my top choice is a Logitech G-19 http://dl.maximumpc.com/galleries/logitechg/logitechg_05_full.jpg But when it comes to budget time, I might have to settle for the Logitech G-11 http://media.bestofmicro.com/,1-O-168540-3.jpghttp://illuminatedkeyboards.co.uk/images/logitechg11/g11night.jpg
Thor.
Hey cool keyboard, does the g19 have standard usb 2.0 ports on the back, my microsoft pro has 4.
nosisab
I'd suggest the X7 series from A4tech. I have the g100 (mini board) and G800 gaming board with some interesting resources and the mouse XL-750BK. They are exceptionally good for the price. you have more choices, mainly with the mouse's models. PS: Razor and Logitech are very good too, but they are very expensive too. TheTerminator2004
tbh, the keyboard that game with my DELL PC 6 years ago, and a Microsoft optical mouse I got for a tenner more recently, have done me fine. Great in fact, especially the mouse. While I can see the G15 has some definite benefits, £100 is way too much to be spending on a mouse and keyboard. Spend it on something more worthwhile instead. Syntax1985
true, its just i was looking @ razor mouses etc and some of them go up to £120. i just figured if i make an investment into a v.nice keyboard and mouse then ive got them for ages. and u know how peopel always go about how awesome gaming mice are etc. i guess the mouse is more important to me, i just want a really nice one. Syntax1985
LHammonds, from what ive been reading most peopel seem pretty anoyed with the G-19, and even the G-15, apperntly the LCD panel is an overpriced gimmick, G-11 seems to be the favoured in that series as it has the same features bar the screen. ty for advise tho made some v.interesting reading. nosisab, ty for that site rec, im looking through it now theres tons of stuff >< lol
Syntax1985
ive gone ahead and bought a Razer Lycosa keyboard, it was £10 more then the G11, and doesnt come with the macro keys ( although you can set macro its done by press Ctrl/Alt + a button ), while not as convienient im not a huge macro user anyway, i liek the idea of just the letters glowing instead of full backlite, and it looks sexy too - http://www.dsdimages.co.uk/Images/11/Large/l_02280594.jpg il write a proper review once ive got if anyones interested. now just for the mouse..... anyone tried a Habu? apperntly razer made it for MS so id guess its a cheap razer? http://www.tcponline.com/images/Mouse/Microsoft_Habu.jpg
Pronam
Cool board. I wish I could use a normal board, but I got used to the ergonomic ones... it's quite annoying when not at home...That mouse seems fitting, here's a review: IGN
pwnedbyscope
I use the Logitech MX-518 as my mouse, haze a DPI setting of up to 1800, that and it feels really good. and a plus is that you can get it on newegg.com for 40$.
