antonkr
I was running, crying through the downtown street. Full of blood my hands were in. I turned right and saw a police chopper fly. Hearing the voices scream, and myself cry, I felt like I started to die.--------

Spiralunix
I haven't written anything for a few years but I will post some of my older poems until I am inspired to write something new. This I wrote about 2 1/2 years ago about leaving my hometown. What it is like to run away from what shapes youThis form I have becomethe whole of a city upon my backto strain my shoulders, hunch my back to a new leveland I wear high heels and balance on my tip toesto stand tallagainst the buildingsthe many faces with beady, weary little eyes never leavingpricking my skinsmushing so itstays paletheir hot heat anger singes my hair curly in flamesBlue eyes never bluer from years of living in the sky asking whyThe twinkle from staring at the starswishing I could beAnywhere but hereAnyonebut meI didn't ask for itAny of itEverYet it all came again and again in neat little rows, neat little parallelsEach waiting turn, to take another stab at mePeel another layer offUntil I could do nothing, finallyStanding naked and exposedon my tip toesAgainst the city that never ceased pressingI wave my pale little handknown by the air here as both a little girl and a little woman handAu revoir, Duluth.... and all of my memories in yoube kept safe in your prison cell

Spiralunix
Thank you very much! :) I have more, but I want to see at least five new things released before I put anything else out. I don't want to be a hog ;) Besides, there hasn't been anything here for about a month and I love this thread. Come on, people, get that creativity juice flowin
