Themisive
I'm quite a way into the mod I'm building, and I've seen there are a lot of nif files as well as the various texture files. As you can appreciate, the take up quite a bit of space, and I was wondering, could I make a BSA file for them, and add any new nif files and textures that come along, or should I leave it to the end to make this file? InfiniteRealm
All I knew was that you could create them, but after a quick search of the CSWikki, i found otherwise: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...r_Own_BSA_files About halfway down is a section for editing/updating them, and a decent method for their creation
LHammonds
#1 - I hope you are not all that hard up on drive space to require using this method. #2 - As mentioned above you can do this if you like. #3 - I do not think it would be wise to utilize BSA files that "replace" Bethesda or user-created files from other mods. #4 - I rarely create BSA files for my mods but if I did, I would only do so at the end of the process. I use TES4Files to neatly prep my files and have documented the process here: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...Using_TES4Files LHammonds
Themisive
Thanks for the information from everyone. I was seriously thinking of creating a BSA file because of the number of meshes in the mod the mod - by the way, they're all related to unique ID's, and of course there are some landscape editing functions as well. I have quite a few modder's resource items set up, however, by then I will have created quite a few more OMOD's, and then I can remove the game from my machine and reload it, along with the mods and saves but WITHOUT the modder's resource items, this way I should be able to restart where I left off. :thanks:
