Trandoshan
@ Aurelius I personally didn't particular Deep Space Nine. I think Janeway should have at least been 3rd on the list. Biased because I have all 8 seasons of Voyager. My vote goes for.... http://www.alarmpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/colbert.jpg The Colbert Report 100%
hoshi23
Deep Space Nine was the best of them all if you ask me. It had some very nice episodes and honestly who could do without Ferengis? They are a must have in anyones fire squad. Anyway the best show or one thats very good is alsoHogans Heroes. Thats just pure classic. Besides that something comes to mind that was quite educational to kids but still can be very much watched by grown ups even today: Il était une fois… (l’homme) It is about the history of man and its twist which i am sad why is there not more like this out there for kids? Also they got a similar one about the human body which is overly cool with having white cell polices in hover cars racing through the human body and stuff. Education actually CAN be fun.So you learn to respect and enquire into that. And then theres yet another one i just love. Alfred J. Kwak. It has a duck in it and comes with a theme song from venerable Herman Van Veen of the netherlands. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098737/ 14 out of 17 people found the following review useful. My favourite childrens anime, 21 September 2001Author: stephen-63 from stockport, england Excellent childrens animation, animated in Japan, and associated with Dennis Livson who brought us The Moomins. Follow Alfred from hatching and the early death of his parents, through political and environmental adventures. In due course Alfred falls in love with a wonderful black duck called Winnie. Lots of allusions to the real world of the time and no holds barred presentation of apartheid and environmental damage. Intelligent, well drawn and animated, a delight (but be warned- some episodes have rather sad / down beat endings). Was the above review useful to you? So at the end in respect of the service done to countless children of humanity i simply have to go with that show out of my heart which still today is likewise as timeless as it was back then. PS: On captains.... just because its cool.... 1: Picard2: Sisko/Janeway 3: Kirk (honorable mention) Latest Movies..... Though I admit to having all the original series on tape, but I did that in the late 70's when VCRs were still novel. Deep Space Nine was the best of them all if you ask me. It would be the view that CIC Star Fleet would review them for task assignment if Star Fleet Command were an actual service and had to perform accordingly. Trandoshan
@ Aurelius At one time, I had voyager on VHS. When I finally realized that they weren't re-running the show on T.V. and I couldn't complete it on VHS, I started getting mysterious presents from relatives. I guess they knew, lol. Maxwell the Fool
My favorite TV show of all time is The Simpsons, but since they stopped making new episodes of anything resembling The Simpsons before I was old enough to laugh at much more than when Homer bumped his head really hard, it's now Deadliest Warrior. I just like the carnage, and the cheesiness of the cinema!
species5478
I'm also fond of X-play, and Attack of the Show. I'm surprised nobody else mentioned them... But I've really grown exited about the 3rd season of Fringe. Season one was good, but I didn't like where season 2 was going. But season 3 has been fantastic! Especially episodes one and three. They were very emotional episodes that were well written, and pulled events from prior seasons together. I can't wait for next Thursday!

Wow, Species5478, in Australia we are watching early Fringe Season Two, I think and what is X-play or Attack of the Show? Can anybody tell me? Many American shows do not make it to Australia, or at least not on free to air TV and others come years after they have begun in the USA. I do not have access to pay TV. I have begun to enjoy watching Sanctuary. I enjoy watching the BBC show, the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. I also enjoy some children's shows like Skylands, Avatar and Sky Hawks. I am checking out an Australian show called Sea Patrol based on the adventures of a crew of a sea going patrolboat of the Australian Navy. Never been much of a trekkie, so I'll have to go with Doctor Who. Series 5 just released (in England - be in the US in a few weeks). Above quote is from Ethre. About to check out the start of a new Doctor Who season with a brand new rejuvenation of the Doctor (new actor of course). Love Torchwood though it can get a little disturbing at times even by my tastes. Edited April 17, 2010 by Maharg67
Povuholo
I love Smallville. It has its ups and downs for sure but I've been watchin it since it was first broadcasted here in 2001, when I was 10 years old! Good or bad, it's amazing that it's still going and I can't stop watching it. At this point I'm watching them online though since they're still at season 7 or so here in the Netherlands last time I checked... brokenergy
I like old Spongebob episodes but the best TV shows were Get Smart and Seinfeld, those made me laugh so hard and some of it's content is still relevant today.
