Premature Release

  1. 1. What sort of quest's would you like to see the most?

    • Quests that introduces well written characters and well written stories.
    • Quests that have riddles and mysteries that you need to solve.
    • Stories that draws upon the Elder Scrolls Lore, and delves deep into many of the unanswered questions in the Elder Scrolls Universe. (Even though we know we're probably getting a biased answer, or probably not a complete answer)
    • Quests that will allow you to explore places you've never been before, or discover places where you thought there was nothing.
    • Quests pop out of nowhere and surprises you
    • I don't really care for stories, or concepts, or anything! I am the Dragonborn! Just point me in the general direction you want slashing!
  2. 2. Do you like the outfits created by this mod? Would you like to see more of these in the project?

    • I love it! Make as many as you can!
    • I think this one plain shirt with a few belt and color variations is enough.
    • I do not like what you have made.
      0
    • I think there are enough vanilla outfits in the game. Why create new ones?
    • I have no opinion on the matter.

Okey, this probebly don't work becose its to simple but what if you split the mod into 4 diffrent download files? and make its so people are required to download all of them to use the mod?

My advice? Delay the release, take a couple of days doing other things (and not modding) and then come back to Holds with fresh eyes. Give it a once-over in both the CK and in your own game and then check your patches in the CK and in-game. Tweak anything necessary and then see if you can upload it after all.

Only you know how ready your mod is, of course so take this as generic advice from someone who's published big projects like this before (although not a mod) for specific dates.

Whatever you decide I'm with you all the way, I've waited this long I can wait a little longer ^_^

I have a hand-in assignment in Embedded Systems Arduino due Sunday at mid-night which I really -Have- to start working on. Plan was to release the mod, let it air a bit while I worked on that this weekend before ascertaining public response and then making the modular versions and whatever patches that is requested. Well, Plan B then. I've spoken with a moderator and IcecreamAssassin,a guy who had also encountered this, they do say, in my defense that this is not just my mod's fault, but a problem that has persisted for some time with the servers. Hopefully this can be fixed with a restart of the servers and me being a little more cautious when uploading my mod content, as Alfred said, seperate it and be a little less excited.

The mod is ready now, the only patch I had a problem with was with Helgen Reborn, but I suspect that is because I hadn't finished Helgen yet, the tutorial level, and I remmember reading that that was required before activating the mod. Otherwise it appears to run just fine. But yes, I will take the time to review what we have and what can be improved upon. I have a hand-in assigment like I said so I'll be very busy this weekend, but if it resolves itself I will be quick to upload ;)

Thank you for understanding.

From what I understand Helgen Reborn should only be installed after bandits have moved into Helgen (so when there are spikes outside the gates) which is usually 10 or so days after the cell hasn't been entered for a while.

I plan on trying (key word there) on recording some footage of Holds once it's out, so looking forward to it

I guess we'll see you on the other side then?

 Oh your a reviewer? Letsplayer? Do let me know when you do so I can check it out. Hopefully it will be stable and performance friendly for you, and enjoyable.

And yeah. I really ought to get some sleep. The moderator said 45mins till he is back... But as you know I was up really- really early today to get those compilation patches done. Didn't help that i had to go collect a TFT-screen and its memory card a few hours later. So if I disappear that's why.

But yes! I'll keep you guys posted with the development and hopefully we can have mods out tomorrow, or at least this weekend.

Not at all! I just feel certain mods truly shine when they're filmed rather than photographed and I saw the two videos you posted were from earlier builds.

Yes I do  I would just go to sleep if I were you

Just dropping in to say that I appreciate the hard work you've put into trying to get your project uploaded. Also, I'm really loving some of the details that I can see in the videos you linked above. The notion that Skyrim will again have nooks and unknowns to explore, that I can wander into a city and not be quite sure what I will find, is brilliant. And some of the details click so perfectly--you've done a great job from what I can see in bringing a historical and cultural resonance to your project.

Good luck in getting it sorted, and please, sleeeeeep. :)

If its okay with you I think it might be cool to have your video's listed on the video section of the mod page :) That way people can see the mod in action, as well as get access to your channel! :)

Thank you :)

The problem appears to be solved now, uploading the files. There will be a lot of loose files I'm afraid. I hope you guys are alright with that.

Galandil, I just watched the review video's and my jaw literally dropped. I can only imagine the level of commitment you've shown to seeing this completion. I am sure that whatever you undertake succeeds!

Another big prop to you is how much you kept in style and the look and feel of each holds. I am sure if the artists of Bethesda would see this, they would shake your hand for a job well done!

Looking forward to explore this new world!

Thank you! :D I hope others feel the same way, and will still do so when the mod is out later today.

Currently spicing up the mod page. All of the files are uploaded so we'll get it up today :)

I really do hope it will run smoothly for everyone, it is a gigantic mod, the file size is big, and the amount of clutter, people and items I hope will not be too taxing on your systems. :)

Nozi87 and Shinji72 were very helpful when creating these video's, I am amazed at the amount of positive attention the video's have been getting. Almost makes me a little nervous not to let this be a let-down.
