The Official Currently Listening To Thread

In Fallout I occasionally heard the song about a guy who didn't want to leave the jungle to live in the city.

Andrews Sisters & Danny Kaye - Civilization (Bongo Bongo Bongo) 1948

While I was growing up I heard someone singing a song that he sang. (Don't tell! It was my Mom!)

Song he sings is the intro to a movie. It's just one of those catchy tunes that can cause people to get that loop going around in the head. Makes us feel like making a movie.

This won't take you through to the movie. It stops before it gets very far after the intro.

I listened to an LP provided by Record Brother. There from an LP: Long Playing Record 33 1/3 rpms, made into an MP3 you can listen to today; narrated by Aldous Huxley, author of a BRAVE NEW WORLD.

Both sides begin with a few words from Mr. Huxley, followed by the radio broadcast company announcer before the show starts on Side 1 and again on Side 2 before the story continues in Side 2.

Side 1.

Side 2.

The Youngbloods Darkness, Darkness 1969 HQ

Darkness darkness, be my pillow
Take my head and let me sleep
In the coolness of your shadow
In the silence of your dream
Darkness darkness, hide my yearning
For the things that cannot be
Keep my mind from constant turning
Towards the things I cannot see now
Towards the things I cannot see now
The things I cannot see now
Darkness darkness, long and lonesome
Is the day that brings me here
I have found the edge of sadness
I have known the depths of fear
Darkness darkness, be my blanket
Cover me with the endless night
Take away away all the pain of knowing
Fill the emptiness of right now
The emptiness of right now
Fill the emptiness of right now
Darkness darkness, be my pillow
Take my head and let me sleep
In the coolness of my shadow
In the silence of my dream
Darkness darkness, be my blanket
Cover me with the endless night
Take away away all the pain of knowing
Fill the emptiness of right now
In the emptiness of right now
In the emptiness of right now
