How to enable endorsing.

I believe that once endorsing or comments have been disabled, they cannot be enabled, even by the admin.
This is correct.

If endorsements or comments are disabled at the time the mod page is created, it will always remain disabled. You will have to create a new mod page to enable those features (which are enabled be default)

Ok then you guys might want to change that when creating the page, it says if you disable endorsements you can later enable them :)

If you highlight the information symbol. It states that what you select is not changeable. Also if you disable comments ratings are also disabled.

Actually if you read the little info symbol thing, it says if ENABLED they CANNOT be disabled, but if disabled they can later be enabled.

Its exact words.

"Do you want to allow members of this site to endorse your file? If you turn this option on now you cannot turn it off. If you turn it off now, you can turn it on in the future."

So, fix that :)

Actually you should read the comments option information. You disabled comments, this automatically disables endorsements. Highlight that information icon and read it.

When you disable comments no forum thread in created....there is no place to record the endorsements....and they are disabled according to the design of the system.

So there is nothing to fix. :), if you had them enabled from the onset, you could have allowed endorsements. But you chose not to allow comments and disabled the endorsement option permanently.
