I never liked Invision's smilies, but I never really cared enough to change them.

Ok, I'll tell ya what...how about we hold a contest / poll for smile sets and I'll take the time to replace them.

 

But, I'd expect each set to contain at LEAST a replacement for all the ones we currently have. It would be silly to replace some and not others. The set we have now pretty-much match each other and do not look out-of-place.

 

So if Dark0ne will permit it, this is what I'd like to see for any potential candidates:

 

1. Clear usage rights from the author of the icon / pack.

2. Each set must contain enough smilies to replace the existing set (if they do not seem like they fit with the existing set)

3. Dimensions should remain about the same as the existing icons (no 50x50 sets)

 

If approved, I will create a new topic specifically for this...and maybe a news item to let more people know about this and give their feedback and potential suggestions.

I don't like any of those rules... x.x"

 

1. I'm not sure anyone charges for smileys and there's no author information for just about any of them anywhere, they're just scattered across the net.

2. That's a little unreasonable... there's like 80 smilies right now. Certainly there's no need for so many, or even to replace ALL of them?

3. These are very large smilies, what if something we do not like is the size?
