ytsejam91
i was wondering why AA isn't compatible with screenshots? o.O personnaly i love the aspect of the game when AA is activated, and i can't even take a shot because PrintScr is blocked, also programs in background working. Well, there is a way to take screenshots with AA active, if you have an nVidia card. just force AA from nVidia control panel and there you go! (this way oblivion thinks AA is deactivated, wich is true, in a certain sense) This way you also can play oblivion with HDR and AA together, if you have a good graphic card. LHammonds
If you are looking for somebody to help you, you are not giving enough information to go on. Do you have anti-aliasing turned on and using an NVidia card? Are you running Windows Vista? If so, did you goof up and install Oblivion to the default location under C:\Program Files ?What is the exact folder path you are looking in to find the BMP files? Does it also contain Oblivion.exe? Example location of EXE: C:\Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.exeFolder to look in: C:\Games\Oblivion\*.bmp LHammonds
roflmaoman
HEY ALL!! im just wondering how to view the character from the front so u can take a screenshot?
ytsejam91
@roflmaoman way 1: click the mouse wheel in third person view and move your mouseway 2: open the console (the key under the "esc" button) type "tfc", press enter, close the console (same key as opening), and enjoy the free camera, (always in third person, unless you want to see only the arms); to switch back to normal movement just type again "tfc" on the console PS: if you want to take screenshots, you'd better to disable menus, ("tm" command in console, to enable just type "tm" again)

When I look in C:\Games\Oblivion I cannot locate the .bmp folder/file. I don't have AA on because I can take the screenshots.
LHammonds
Though I'm not sure why that matters?Read this...although I linked directly to a single section, I recommend that you read the entire article to get a base understanding of what you are doing and what to expect when working with mods to save you a lot of head-scratching and posting questions that just get you directed back to that page. When I look in C:\Games\Oblivion I cannot locate the .bmp folder/file.As noted, it was just an example of a custom location. The main thing shown is that the folder that contains the Oblivion.exe is where Oblivion.exe (the game engine) places the .BMP pictures. You can find this folder by right-clicking on your Oblivion icon that starts the game and choose "Properties" from the ensuing pop-up dialog box. The path to the exe will be revealed here. Since you have Vista and installed it in the default location, I strongly recommend that you uninstall Oblivion and re-install it to a location other than the default...such as C:\Oblivion or D:\Oblivion or D:\Games\Oblivion ... whatever best fits your system since I do not know what you have or the place that has the most free space or best-performing hard-drives. Installing Oblivion outside the "Program Folders" location will save you troubles you cannot begin to imagine later on down the road. Example: If you extract an archive somewhere under "Program Files" you will only get the files in the root of the archive...Windows will refuse to extract the sub-directories such as the "Meshes" and "Textures" sub-folders...thus causing pink/purple textures and exclamation marks ingame. You would have to do a work-around by extracting the archive elsewhere and then COPY the extracted files into the "Data" folder. If you are not an expert in the Vista operating system, security measures and file/share permissions, you do NOT want to disable the UAC security to "fix" the problem of having Oblivion installed in the "Program Files" folder.
