Don't Stay at the Tiber Septim Hotel!

Oblivion is set up so the default place to dump lost player characters, NPCs, and creatures is the lobby of the Tiber Septim Hotel. If you do things with uninstalling and reinstalling mods, then NPCs and creatures can get sent there. If you disable a mod when you are in one of the cells unique to the mod, you will end up there. If you run away from enemies and don't kill them, it seems like they can end up there.

I feel very sorry for the desk clerk.

I have seen the lobby stuffed so full with giant ogres, giant goblins, and wargs that they couldn't move. It seems like there are lots of brown bears in the luxury hotel. Sometimes I see animated skeletons and bandits there.

Kagrenir's Death Quest placed an NPC in the lobby, and there were so many scary things there that he ran away and hangs around outside now.

Yesterday there was a Dremora Markynaz with a drawn claymore walking around in an alert posture. He was not aggressive, he was probably just amazed at where he had ended up and was afraid of all the people. I saw him walk outside and start walking home, wherever that is. He walked through the gate from Talos Plaza to the road by the stables outside the city. There were guards flanking the door, and I laughed as I watched both of them turn their heads to watch this helmeted Dremora with drawn claymore walk between them. ("Move along! Move along! I just want you outside of my jurisdiction!")

What kind of crazy things to you see when you visit the Tiber Septim Hotel?

Bethesda could have picked a better place for their lost and found booth. Why not use some cave? That would make more sense than stuffing the most luxurious hotel an in all of Cyrodiil with it.

Weirdest thing I ever saw in there was a whole flock of sheep. At least fifteen of them, just standing there in the lobby.

First of all, all of that you mentioned made me burst out laughing! It's awesome that you never know who (or what) you'll find in there!

The oddest thing I've seen in the Hotel is Martin! I have no idea how he ended up there from all the way from Cloud Ruler Temple, but he did! What annoyed me about it though is that whilst doing the main quest I had to keep going back there, and wait for nearly days to get him to reach Bruma. Funny though!

The scariest thing I've seen inside was a clan of Werewolves/Infected Bandits and Vampires killing everyone. The Desk Clerk fled the building and I think she's still stood out there, even though the Werewolves and Vampires are all dead.

This is interesting to know. I've never seen anything TOO strange, but there is a deer that has taken up residence in the lobby. I've always thought it was a glitched mod. I'll have to start going in there more often now.

Paid the Hotel a visit today, found the Prophet ranting inside (I usually do knock him out and fle instantly) along with 4 dead Ogres and some burning dogs (I had only just finished the Sheogorath Shrine quest)

Since I know for Oblivion, TS hotel is killing me. First, Gwinas (bosmer guy in main quest) always "falls" beyond the building (I must use tcl cheat to talk with him, even that doesn't mean anything), so i must type setstage cheat to continue without him. Also, there is a bug (veeery strange bug) when I enter Oblivion Gate, I end up there, lol

I always liked and always will like Waterfront Shack, it's simply the best!
