MilkTh3Cow
First off, I'd like to tell you my specs; CPU: Intel Core i5-4670k 3.4GhzGPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB SuperclockedRAM: G.Skill Sniper 8GB (2x4GB) 1866MhzHDD: 1TB Western Digital RE3 7200RPMRES: 1440x900 @ 60Hz (HP w1907 Monitor) Now, here's a list of my mods (Very extensive) http://i.imgur.com/qqnAJXf.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/zT5wQm0.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/UIoChFs.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/k3xThJc.png I'm using Realvision ENB Option A Full /w Ewi's High ini and prefs file for GTX 660 or better I have made a compatibility patch with all the mods using TES5Edit (Boy did that clean up some conflicts, phew)I also use SSME and of course SKSE Loader for Skyrim ================================================================================================ THE PROBLEM: I drop my frame rates out doors from the usual 60FPS indoors to 20-30 FPS, and it's really irritating. With my specs I should be getting 50 - 60 constant, but I sadly am not. My game looks so beautiful, I can't remove the ENB, I love it too much <3 I know I can get better FPS, but I need a fix. [YES] I use SweetFX[YES] I use ENBoost Any other solutions?
NewYears1978
In the same boat as you. Good rig and with that many mods I get 30 in some random places but average 45-60 but even then the 60 doesn't feel smooth. Randomly removing half the mods always improves FPS. It's just a matter of bogging down..too many mods + ENB...it's going to happen on any rig... Using just the mods in STEP + my lighting and ENB stuff, I can run fairly decent but once I add another 100 of my own mods...forget it. Did you use the STEP guide or LOOT/BOSS or WB or anything..that surely helps..but mostly that helps with CTD not FPS. Also did you use lots of 2k-4k textures?? Have you used Texture Optimizer or DDSopt? (Looking at your mod list, you have many/most of the same mods I have..I know some like Expanded Cities..it killed my FPS..literally a 15 FPS drop in Riverwood with that mod on... mods are that way..and the more you add the more bogged Skyrim gets. What's funny is using JUST the STEP mods with ENB and lighting mods..and the game still looks great...it's just a matter of...."But I have this great rig I should be able to run all the mods I want" ..but as we can tell that is just not possible) Do you have bogged down feeling? Like 45-55 FPS for me feels real clunky the more mods I have..even 60 FPS doesn't react as quick as it did when I had less mods installed. Hard to explain.. Deleted5770650User
I recently stopped using ENB and changed to A Natural Custom Settings - FXAA Injector. After that I now get about 15 more fps most of the time.I normally get 60fps indoor and about 45fps outdoors now. With ENB I got about 45-50fps indoors and about 25-35 outdoor. ENB is definitely a big hit..I Just can't play without ENB. I actually use ENB and Injector. The ENB fixes day times from looking oversaturated/contrasted/drab (can't even explain it..it's the Bloom in the ENB that fixes it)
camaro_69_327
Gonna bet ...you have gone past your GPU's 2 GB of VRAM....so what you can do is Prove me Wrong!!! Download "Skyrim Performance Monitor"...Run that for 15 mins and post the graph! Edited July 25, 2014 by camaro_69_327

I have AA at 8x and AF at 16x. Gonna bet ...you have gone past your GPU's 2 GB of VRAM....so what you can do is Prove me Wrong!!! Download "Skyrim Performance Monitor"...Run that for 15 mins and post the graph! I know a few people that try to tell me my 660 with 2GB is constantly at the 2GB limit, but it is normally between 900-1500MB used.I am going to guess that most of the problem is ENB. Draconious
Lowering textures helps a lot. I use Seasons of Skyrim and lowering my textures to 1k and using optimizer textures helped speed up my game dramatically. It doesn't bother me too much because you can only notice the drop in quality of you stare at the floor or right up to a wall. I'm using GTX 660 which is a pretty mid range card as well. jdkzombie
I recently made some ini tweaks to force multithreading use of my 6 core cpu, I have had great luck with that. Try these tweaks > http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/articles/1153/? Remember to make a back up of your INI and prefs file first! I've had the GTX 660, and while it is a great card, it handles a lot well, but not in massive chunks. If you upgraded to a 670, you'd see huge gains, or even SLI two 660 cards together if your budget allowed. Shadows play off your CPU, so try turning shadow detail down, and in skyrimprefs, you can change the iShadow detail resolution to 1024 and it will save you FPS. There are also nifty mods you can use that remove underwater rocks, and small rocks near shore lines and riversides, that you barely notice anyways, and that saves precious FPS and VRAM that isn't used creating and loading tectures and shadows for those objects. Using the normal skyrim.exe launcher, select options, advanced, then select distant object detail fade. There is no reason to see the texture of a castle several miles away, save the VRAM. I've wanted to upgrade but I'm wondering if it's better to pay for a much better card or to go for one that will be able to handle ENB's and high textures a bit more with a steadier frame rate. If you say 670's worth it I might just go for that though, when I have the money.
