The future technology

Future technology, the wonders of the future, you see it in articles every day yet we never see that technology come to light in the public domain. Why is that??, well that's a good question.

There is movements out there, none profit organizations and so on, but even then we might not see it in our life time.

The debate is, what do you think what technology will bring us in the future in 20 to 30 year life time, there is amazing breakthrough's, but usually end up in military or some vault somewhere.

What do you think??

My favorite future tech is warp drive, even though it might end up in the military, its such a technology that will effect us in so many ways, no matter who has it.Though i give it 10 years sense they already built the engine for it. Even it could get us to the nearest solar system in 20 years time, the way i calculated the passing through orbit around two of the biggest planets in our solar systems, sense its infinite drive it could continuously push a ship around the solar system for speed.

Though we will never see it commercialized, at least in my life time. Unless third party builds it first.

It has always proven to be near impossible to predict just what technologies will be invented in future, in what form will they be used, in what ways they will be used and what impact that they will have.

In the past it was predicted that supercomputers would be important by now but none predicted the importance of desktop computers (Macs and PCs) let alone later developments such as smartphones and tablets (palmtop computers by another name).

It was predicted that by now there would be a big thriving moon colony, smart robots would be common and people would fly around in aircars. Perhaps it was good that the last never came true considering the horrible disasters that a drunken aircar driver could cause.

Lots of predictions have been foolish and though have had some truth to them, have been changed by practical limitations. One such was personal helicopters being owned by every family; what an economic, and safety, nightmare that would be.

I have heard people, who usually don't know much about the practical applications of hitech, predict that tablets will replace desktop computers. The amazing lack of common sense, in such claims, amazes me. Instead tablets have begun to be used alongside desktop computers in offices just as laptop computers have done so in the past.

One major problem in predicting future tech is 'breakthroughs' of sudden new discoveries that tend to not only bring on new technologies but to influence older technologies. Electricity brought the light-bulb and also electric trains to replace steam-trains in some situations.

Food for thought... The tablets and touchscreen devices which are currently available today as consumer goods are technically more advanced and almost more ubiquitous than those which were envisioned for Startrek. Meaning that we already have "future tech", only that some areas advanced more quickly than others, and usually because those other technologies do not have as immediate applications among consumers.

On the inverse of the argument, we do not have anyone building any of these more advanced power generation or travel systems because there aren't enough people around who want to invest money into building them when other, more proven, alternatives already exist.

That's the clueless buying into Apples "Post PC" nonsense, they didn't notice that when Jobs was telling the world the PC was dead Apple were at the same time releasing a new line of Macs, sadly one of those who bought into it was Microsoft, hence Windows 8 and the disastrous Surface.

Tablets can be useful in an office situation as a means of showing active documents or getting information without having to sit in front of a computer. More still, laptops or convertibles with a touchscreen interface are far easier to use than the old touchpad, trackball, or nipple for controlling a cursor on a laptop. It's just that neither of these things are suited to the majority of the nitty gritty work that might need to be done just by nature of bad interfaces, limited screen space, or needing to have a keyboard that has some substance to it. Frankly, Microsoft started losing this particular battle back in the Vista era, when they tried to force every application maker (by nature of making old software incompatible) to start using a simplified context based menu bar instead of having everything available at all times.

Desktop computers continue to be excellent for gaming, creative writing, and art, and not just many 'practical' tasks.

As for other future technologies there are possibilities such as:

advanced robotics, drones and automated networks

possible manipulations of gravity such as zero gravity fields on Earth and anti-gravity boosters to push special shuttles up out of the gravity well

genetic engineering but I wish they would do more research before pushing products out into the world market

holographic projections, other 3D uses

androids, that dream of electric sheep

advanced virtual reality including possible use of cyberspace to carry out many tasks and for entertainment

dehydrated water, just add water

the fixing up of the atmosphere in order to deal positively with the green house effect

space colonization

low gravity moon golf

and much else

PS: As for 'Microsoft in the head', do not get me started, gggrrr! Amazing that such a large, wealthy, influential corporation can make so many fundimental mistakes, can be so arrogant and self serving.

The reason people aren't getting the advanced tech is because people who have it are hoarding all the complete replacements like some people keeps parts for repairing their equipment. All the general population gets from Secret groups is the broken stuff they hope no genius will make useful, like that Genius known as Q to James Bond.

The real guy and gal like him get to keep all the cool stuff and watch us on their monitors and seeing what is on our monitors than they can act like Thor does, on occasion, and do stuff to psych out his competition on, "The Last Poster WINs" page.

Spies are gossips, backstabbers who run when it makes sense, and hide until they know they can return with a snipe at their target. Their target is often someone who is really another spy they just had a meal with them, traded secrets before they sold out to each other out, so they can move to the other guys country and hang out in luxury and decadence at the place like Camp David in U. S. of A.

Hi, M! Hi, Q. Hi Secret Service. Hi, FBI. Hi Darth Vadar. Hi all you wonderful gossips and nosey neighbors.

Hi Chinese secret service.

Oh! Before I forget about the topic of this page I want to say, "Thank you for making me possible so you have a bunch of handy human body parts to get in case you F8ck up and injure yourselves while you are eating a thousand dollar plate at the spycon in your secret place in Las Vegas, this year. With chopsticks.

Oh! And my XLR Cadillac 2006 needs some work on the Tranny Q! Could you drop by and fix that linkage bracket with one of your fancy new roadside assistance trucks? Plz, Pretty plz with sugar on top of all that other stuff you love to eat!

Or hey why not just replace it with a 2005 Cadillac Cien in mint condition with all the attachments for it when it was going to be used for a James Bond Movie. Before they used it in the movie, "The Island". That movie about making clones of people for spare parts.

After all it was likely the damages are because of one of those little robots the size of a tsetse fly robot that messed it up. You know, so the a$$hole who wants my car was assured I would not damage it anymore.

Government is the people, Spies are actors who use tons of makeup, are transvestites who wanted to grow up a girl. They are mentally unstable and are the spies because they can't always get the facts Mam. So they make some up so (M)om won't think too badly of them.

Oh! Oh! I'm one of those items you guys can't afford because I am a Biologically Mechanically Engineered Humanoid.

Get it? Do yo Get it?!

If you want a model like yourselves, you're going to have to just use the old fashion system. Sex!

Oh! Q! If you're reading this plz make it so before the 26th. I have a very important engagement coming up.
