What mods are being used?

I was on 4chan and saw some of these images on /v/. I have some of the mods, but the other ones are driving me crazy.

I know the eyes are from the Beautiful People 2ch edition, as is the race/face. But I don't know where the hair is from, or the outfit, or the swords. I thought they might be with Ren's Beauty Pack, but they weren't there either.

Outfit in the first image seems to be Captain Molly for HGEC (and the body mod is HGEC as well).

 

The outfit in the second image is Kirin's Armor from Monster Hunter (for HGEC also).

 

Dunno the name of the third outfit, and it's kinda hard to scroll through the HGEC files by now... Somebody else might be able to help you there.

 

I can't tell where the swords are from in this angle, but searching for "katana" in the Nexus might give you some good alternatives, or even the actual swords themselves.

 

The beauty pack being used is not just Ren's Beauty Pack, but rather, I believe it's Beautiful People 2ch Edition (most likely version 1.8). The race is from that pack, Ren's low-ears elf, if I'm not mistaken. Sorry, but I can't link to it, since I don't have permission. This is easily available on Japanese sites, and some scouring through Google might get it to you. I'm not sure where the hair is from, but it's definitely Amy Sorel's hair (a character from Soul Calibur 3 & 4). A quick search in Google shows me that DesuChan was making a mod using this hair, from unnamed "other authors". I'm sure more Googling will give better results.

 

Lastly, you must know that there's a lot of great and high quality mods that don't get uploaded to the popular "mainstream" websites (TESNexus, Bethsoft, etc.). Mainly the Japanese mods, or mods from other countries, and those by underground/hackers/programmers, which you might find running around showing off on 4chan and YouTube. Knowledge of what's popular in other circles (especially Japan and Korea, who make a lot of games that are sources of inspiration for many mods) might help you but isn't necessary. In other words, you won't find a lot of them here no matter how hard you look. However, sometimes Googling for some key words can help you find what you need. And sometimes, you just need to get lucky, which is how I found some of my favorite mods. :)

#1: I have that hair >_> Unfortunately, I don't know which mod added it at this time - will have to look after work if someone else hasn't posted it by then. I think I have somewhere the armour too. Not enough visible of the swords to really make an ID on those.

 

#2: MHSN Kirin Armor for HGEC

 

#3: That would be the see-through variant of Light armour that comes with "Dancing Shadow Rose". Can't give you a link there (but I'm sure Google can :whistling: - you'll end up on a Japanese site)

Ah. Thank you. Both of the armors are correct, as are the other mods. I got those. I just can't find the hair for the life of me on Google.

As far as I know, these do not appear to be private mods because you don't even have to sign up to access the download links.

And that is typical of Japanese modders. They usually freely allow anybody to use their mods without support (typically so they don't have to deal with complaints and English-speaking foreigners), but they mostly don't allow any form of editing or redistributiion.

 

Of course, that's a generalization, but it's a trend I've noticed when looking around for Japanese mods and reading their readme's.

Whenever I use the Lop Ears elf mod, it asks for the Beautiful People 2ch-ed.esm file. I have the Beautiful People 2ch-ed mod, but all there is, is a Beautiful People 2ch-ed.esp file.

 

Am I the only one who has problems with the mod?

 

Edit: Nevermind. Figured out that my version of BP 2ch was outdated. Is 1.8.0 the most recent version?
