I'm Going Backwards In The Queue!

Hi there,

Thanks for taking the time to fill in this bug report. This thread is for people who are experiencing the "queue is in minus numbers" or "I'm going backwards in the queue and the file never downloads" bugs.

Important: Have you tried the bug fix that's in the "Known Issues" section of the download queue window? Similarly have you edited your Internet Explorer browser's trusted sites settings appropriately to work with the download queue?

Please provide the following information in your bug report:

What file are you trying to download?

Where does it say you are in the queue?

What browser and operating system are you using?

Do you use any firewall software or download accelerators?

Thanks again!

I'm attempting to download Legion Armour Retexture

It does not say my position in the queue, but it says there -99 people in the download queue, that number goes up and down every so often. But nothing has happened for 3 hours since that page has been opened.

I use Internet Explorer, and have Windows XP Professional

I use Rogers Yahoo Online Protection

using internet explorer, i think the problem may be to do with IE giving a warning from the top of the box saying it prevented the site from downloading something to me. after saying allow the download i get a negative number.

firefox didn't have any problems with it. and after i downloaded it in firefox, trying again in IE worked, go figure.

What file are you trying to download? http://www.tessource.net/files/proceed.php...0-TESSource.rar

Where does it say you are in the queue? -94

What browser and operating system are you using? IE and windows XP pro

Do you use any firewall software or download accelerators? windows firewall on this machine, also my network has another seperate firewall

This definately seems like an IE problem.

I've added the following blurb to the first post: if you guys could respond as to whether you've done the following then that'd be handy:

Have you tried the bug fix that's in the "Known Issues" section of the download queue window? Similarly have you edited your Internet Explorer browser's trusted sites settings appropriately to work with the download queue? Do you get the security information bar in IE and have to manually tell IE it's ok to download?

IE, XP Pro, firewall was disabled when I downloaded

Before I followed the instructions for the 'add to trusted sites' bit, I also had the negative number thing (-54) after I added them, the google toolbar wanted to blok the pop-up window, but after I clicked 'allow pop up' there were no further problems.

Downloaded: 2789-1-Vermillion and Silverthorn Robes by Kafei-TESSource, running Adaware and Spybot S&D.

Excellent new system. In 30 minutes I went from position -23, up to -31 then back to -23, down futher to -18 then futher still too -3, then back up to -5, then -8 and am now currently at -24... 1 position higher than when I started 32 minutes ago !!!!!

I appreciate that the server thing costs you, but is this the best you guys could come up with?

I don't mind taking my turn and standing in Q, but lets have a Qing system that works eh!!!!!!

Are people not seeing the text to the right...

Going backwards in the queue, or is the queue in minus numbers? Click here, close this queue window and then retry the download. If you continue to experience problems please report your problem.

HAVE YOU DONE IT?.
