  1. 1. What race?

  2. 2. What advanced follower features do you like?

    • Horse related ones (elaborate by posting)
    • Combat related ones (elaborate by posting)
    • Lots of world-aware dialogue
    • Customization of your follower (elaborate by posting - what customization options)
    • A regard system where you player can impact the follower's decisions
  3. 3. Do you want a questline? If so, elaborate with ideas about your ideal questline.

    • A questline, definitely.
    • Meh. I prefer just follower features and dialogue.

Perhaps you could also take a little inspiration from Julan, Ashlander Companion for Morrowind? I'm well aware that Morrowind's text-based dialogue allows for a hell of a lot more than Oblivion/Skyrim's spoken dialogue, but Julan has been my (and many other peoples') favourite companion across all games, not just BethSoft ones.

Anyway, I second, third, fourth, fifth etc. pretty much everything others have said. Especially about the romance stuff and making him at least somewhat handsome (and not old enough to be my 25-ish year old Imperial lady's dad.) XD

id like to see an argonian follower with its own interesting background, with inigo quality.

I would like one as well, however, the major success factor inigo is a lot of lines. You can hardly hear say the same things twice. But the modder is the voice actor, he can add as many lines as he want with no delay, tiring etc that could happened with a voice actor across the sea.

I did start to make one... but then dropped it. Dialog writing is a pain and i simply dont have time for it.

thats a shame, i hope you find the motivation to finish and release it, i whould download it for sure.

I might decide to put a voiced Argonian in my to-be-announced follower pack. Any ideas or things you would like to see?

well, there is so manny stealth based followers around, even the only argonian follower on vanilla skyrim is stealth based. id like to see something different, more unique like this female argonian mage follower that i found once, she is a dwemer researcher and i found the idea so nice, unfortunely never found the download page again, who knows, maybe a light armored shield fighter, a brutish hammer swinging barbarian, or even an alteration or summoning spellcaster. just dont make it an assassin/archer.

Well, considering the cultural origin of Argonians, it makes sense for them to be stealth focused. Argonians spend their days in swamps filled with much bigger carnivorous monsters all around them. They need to be stealthy to survive. However, an Illusion Mage might be a fun idea. Like, he uses Illusion magic to turn invisible to hide, etc. Or maybe a super light soldier, using his bare hands to rush in and crush the enemy, jumping in and out of combat, etc.

Not really, Argonians of blackmarsh have big villages that could be forfeited and many lived full lives with zero fighting skills, I remember there is even shops and the like, suggesting a stable safe place to trade and live. They also had a main big city reached by boats or something like that where the king lived. Villages were far from it, yet still safe because of guards appointed by chefs and trained. Shadow scales are some kind of superheros, maybe suggesting they know nothing of sneaking? Spears and swords were really common.

I noticed when people talk about black marsh, they think it like middle and south Africa villages. But we are talking about a full kingdom here. Also there a book about mating thing where they have to prove themselves, maybe by fighting or hunting large game. So the all the males at least know how to kill a something like a bear if they saw one. Females are smarter and better at magic. There are also some shamans.

They also breed and born in other provinces, in oblivion thief guild quest line there is one that says "I went back to Leyawiin, where I was born and raised." it a city near blackmarsh with many of them, they only need the hist tree sap when they are born. So you find one in Skyrim that loves Nords meed and hunting horkers he is likely, and possibly born there, and never been to black marsh. But they may be weaker. The ones in blackmarsh don't know English, or manners of others found in Skyirm and Cyrodiil, they are really different from them.

Keep in mind you can find a Dunmer in darkwater crossing born in Skyirm (also a full town in Cyrodill.) nords in cyrodiil. The common thing when people roleplay or make followers, is that they come straight from their mother province most of time. I also noticed they serve the god/godess everyone of their races does. Also wrong, you can find in the older games races of all kinds in chapels of the nine and as worshipers of deadric princes in the wilds.

i have that in mind, is just that, not every argonian is born on black marsh, and not every argonian is a stealth specialist, the stealth could be used subtely on the character development.
