Have video games inspired you to take up a real hobby or sport?

Playing Fallout 3 inspired me to take up shooting mutated monsters as a sports/hobby but I could not get a gun and could find any mutated monsters to hunt. Edited by Maharg67

Fallout3 has made me want to join little league... become daddy's favorite little girl... turn into a gun nut... act like a Black Widow.... and become and explosives expert. I've learned how to lockpick with Amata's hairpins and screwdriver... oh.. and I also found that my ability to run faster than a speeding Super mutant Behemoth has vastly improved. my eye hand coordination has gotten really good... and I mastered shotguns.... I've also taken up a cooking hobby.... Rad Roaches and Rad Scorpions are on the menu..... on a spit or cooked under a warm flamethrower.

but otherwise... I'm ok as I am

Full Sail actually sent me a ton of stuff in the mail asking me to go there and I had the option, but didn't go with it. How interesting things might be if I had taken that path...

I've played a ton of video games. Reading, writing and drawing are three things that I do relate to them (perhaps not so literally, but more like the themes embedded in them,) and for a while I had an interest in making them. As much fun as I've had, in many ways I wish I didn't use so much time with them when I could have been doing other things.

I really dont do much gaming although i wish i could... but mainly i do browser-based & etc. games which are some mpo but yehh... im relly excited and i also do roleplay on paper and online but not much explicit content, it would be like just watching anime on adult swim... i also modify and create my own games and im a proxy as mentioned before... i have my own websites but most are under construction untill i get a paypal, etc.

Fallout New Vegas has inspired me to go to Vegas. When I was there, I saw some guy literally wearing NCR clothing, only without the logo, I wanted to yell, "TRUE TO CAESAR!"

But as for hobbies/sports, I don't know what game, but some game made me play soccer over the summer which is a tradition I do every summer. Go to my local park and own some "soccer noobs." Mass Effect had made me want to study engineering(Tali and those two Cerberus Engineering guys pwn).
