UncleRoe
Only major thing i hope they change are the face and body looks.. first time i played through the character creation i couldn't beleive how ugly the human race looked.. They even made the females look like guys. I've fixed most of my issues with face textures and body replacers.. i am hoping i don't have to worry about that in tes5.. I also hope they rework the leveling system.. Sure.. it was original..but it was original because no one else was stupid enough to try it..flyable mounts..better animations for hurt actors..(if i take your knee with an arrow, i don't want you running after me like an olympic champion)
Deleted1217574User
@Uberman I think the next Xbox is set to be out sometime within the next half-decade or so. Which will hopefully be after the next Elder Scrolls game is released. I agree, more variation. You might see slight differences between all the caves, and all the ruins and whatnot, but you never stop and think "Wow, this is really different!" The only one I can think of is Sideways Cave. It makes exploring this huge, open world with all these possibilities seem rather monotonous when everything turns out the same way each time. lllJACKlll
altho its already been clearly pointed out... better looking characters, some children running in the streets, or at least hiding in their rooms.. i guess the only problem there is they dont want heartless assassins and madmen going around beheading children... but idk it would add some realism to the world for me. also some ACTUAL towns, of say all orcs, where maybe they talk all orcish, or a renegade town of nords who want to rebel, i just felt the out-of-the-way settlements felt too simple, when u asked "Rumors" it was the same as if u were in town, id just like to notice some differences from the country folk that live out in the wilderness.. Vindekarr
I want a better CS, in that I want the next gen CS to have the NIF and DDS making tools built in, not aftermarket downloads. I also want a world that better reacts to and reflects my decisions. Im a bloody dremora, why the hell them am I loved and showered with happyness when I walk down the steet? Im there to eat their souls for Hel's sake.
ub3rman123
Well, if you're a dremora that's modded in content, and I suppose it'd be up to the modder to add disposition ranking like that. Although some more evil races would be nice. If I recall correctly, some certain NPC's do have disposition modifiers towards other races, particularly the beast races. Vindekarr
I did the mod myself, complete with a healthy degree of fear towards me as I am due. But even that is not enough. Even with vast infamy, even as a pariah race, I'm still allowed to walk into any city I please, fully armed and armoured, and leading a daedra war band. wth?
forli
I have very few:TOP 20:20 - Remove the leveling system. In every dungeon/region/province there are different enemies with different levels: example Lv 0-25 in Cyrodiil (The starting province), the weakest enemies are in the Great Forest (Lv 0-3), while the strongest enemies are in the BlackWood forest (Lv 18-25). So if you go in the BlackWood forest at level 5 the enemies will pulverize you19 - Remove the current ugly LV-UP system and add the XP system18 - Add the wounds system. See the cut on the flesh, smash on the head will near-blind you and the enemies, if your legs are wounded you can't jump, dodge an attack and run like before17 - Add the finish moves. If the enemy surrender, is stunned or immobilized for the several wounds, you can finish him: impale, decapitate... (DR give this to Oblivion)16 - Add more elemental spells: water, wind, earth, holy, dark and telekinesis (telekinesis can not only move object...). The spell can collide and generate an explosion (If power is near the same), or the strongest spell can "defeat" the weaker and continue his flight (but his power is reduced). The power of the spells isn't fixed, but depends on the power of the caster.15 - Add motion and collision on armor/clothes and show the damages14 - Add flying rideable creature. You and your creature can even fight while flying!13 - Add competitions with all the rideable creatures (There's nothing better than a race on flying creatures!!!)12 - Equip more than 1 weapon at time and switch between them. During fight we can't open our inventory/backpack. So if we break all our equipped weapons, we need to fight with our fists and kicks.11 - Chance to break the weapons (I mean: the blade of a sword can break and fly away). We can fight also with broken weapons (but we do minimal damages). Only an expert armorer can repair a broken weapon, but first we need to retrieve all the broken parts (Otherwise we must forge the missing parts at high prices)10 - Grab moves (I want to immobilize the enemy while unseen, extract precious information then stun or strangle him while I'm stealing the weapon from his scabbard or hand) 9 - Combo attacks and the ability cross the weapons! (Something like tap repeatedly the attack button to win the duel) 8 - Improve the physic engine of the game, the gravity is really unrealistic and every object fall like if it is on the moon 7 - Add more variety of dungeon, with puzzle ant traps everywhere. Add unique treasure (and powerful bosses) to ayleid ruins. 6 - Bring allies and companions with you, give them orders, bring hem with you in the battles, give them the ability to JUMP (why they can't in Oblivion?) 5 - Sail with ships (with naval battles and boarding), guide a cart/wagon (with bandits that chase you to stole the merchandise) 4 - More abilities: I want to jump, hang and climb a ledge, move or peek while hanging the ledge, walk against walls, peek around the corner ledge, climb the ladders, ropes and columns, jump from ledges/ladders/columns, crouch or crawl to pass through a narrow passage, swing from a bar, assault the enemies from behind or upside them (Also from a ledge/ladder/column etc), the ability to pick any object and throw or use it as a weapon 3 - Mounted combat (Swing my sword, use my bow, burn my enemy and boost my creature's speed) 2 - Dual wield (1 button for the right-hand weapon, and another button for the left-hand weapon), ability to attack with one or both weapons, impale/decapitate 2 enemies at the same time with either weaponsAnd the most important: 1 - All Tamriel playable + SI + All the new lands created by modders
ub3rman123
All of Tamriel playable? But I'd like to see the game within the next decade..
Wolfdoggie
Need better faces and hair on NPCs XD I don't even like any of the hairstyles except for the short cropped one. Just awful. I wish they could make better H2H combat, since fists are the coolest weapons. :) Or claws :P (deathclaw in fallout! I hope for better melee and h2h in F4 too :( ) Kicking would be nice. Why games never let you kick people!? Deadly Reflex is pretty much a required mod so wish they'd add stuff like it themselves in next game. Finishing moves, shield bashing, kicking, etc. Grab moves would be cool too, always wished DR had them and well.. they're a basic part of RL fighting so if they want to make the game more realistic they should. Add fire arrows so you can set fires and burn things down with bow? Enchanting a bow with fire charges just isn't interesting enough. I don't like dwarfs >;( Would be cool if they made Ainmhi an actual race though. I doubt it but hopefully there's a mod for'em :> More magic animations and effects would be nice. They recycled so many of them. Magic is actually pretty dull in general. Shoot a blue, red or green ball or a bolt of lightning and that's pretty much it. Magic fatalities with DR are awesome too, would like those. :P Bring werewolves back, vampires are boring unless I'm killing them. Dual wield would be nice. I like daggers but using one with a shield is just weird. More interesting companions? Never find them too interesting when bringing one along. They never interact with quest or anything either. Maybe even add marriage system? Since you can buy houses and all. ;o I was also surprised how useless the pet dog was. Couldn't even tell him to follow and wait, unless you DL the mod. The good/evil system could use improvements. It's barely even there. Could just copy fallout a bit? :) Not enough choices with quest where you can pick a good, neutral or evil route. wizardmirth
Keep the ridable horses but do away with fast-travel. Instead, offer a transport system like in Morrowind, but allow for occassional random bandit raids along the way. Horse and coach would be ideal for this, but giant bug from ES3 would not. Also it would be great to opt for "get there instantly" like in GTA4 cabs but without the additonal cost, which isn't realistic because there's no reason why you can't nap or do anything other than watch the scenery when someone else is driving. Of course instant travel too can be interrupted if the random generator decides that bandits should attack the wagon at some point along the way. Plus it would just be plain awesome to see pairs of horses pulling animated wagons on the roads with turning wheels and rattling/rocking along the way. Player perspective from inside the wagon too, enjoying the countryside along the way should you choose not to instant-travel. Conversations with random or fully AIed other passengers? Uh, and mounted combat? Open cities would be great to have again, as it was in Morrowind. Ok I'm not sure how much more processing power or memory the horse and wagon thing would take up, but it's an idea I've had for a while. Also just want to say that phreatophile made a good point saying that they should look at the top 100 here and seriously consider implenting the best of those ideas. The customer is always right.
