hi.. love the chat room idea.

i have a suggestion though.

is it possible to have a couple chat rooms.. the 'one' that is there now is mostly random chat.. and i have seen a few come in looking for help and can't get in with all the chit chat.

something like:

noob room and a modding room.. (just names to fit the purpose of chat.)

anyway.. i like the chat feature added to nexus.

A general landing space like it is but with a few pre-defined sub-chat areas would be nice...like a mod-talk only section. With 30+ people in the mix, it can be difficult to catch up and follow what is being said with so many people cranking out replies.

Somebody asks for a link, I jump over to another tab, find the link really quick, jump back in chat and 100 lines have already flown by. wow.

Reading the IP forums it's still being developed yet or at least planned. (Multiple Rooms)

Having been on IRC for over a decade and finding no problem having a discussion in a room with a handful of others going in parallel, I'll have to say the IP.Board chat gives me a terrible headache. It could be the tiny size of the chat frame, or the large, in my standards, font size and interline spacing, but can't tell for sure what the problem is. Perception bias, perhaps?

I'm hoping whoever is in charge of the chat could pester IP.Board to code in an "ignore user" function for users, because that's direly needed - especially in certain timezones when no moderators are around. The lack of means to deal with the spammers are driving off the people who actually have something productive to say.
