I thought it was called a Russian Blue. She sure is beautiful anyway. My cats love small spaces too. Especially the 17 lb. one. My little tortise shell does too, but not as much as the big one. Go figure....

AliasTheory
I have a Shih Tzu (no long hair, four years.) Her name is Joie, a french name. She recently became flea free. A friend of a friend had a dog with fleas. Fleas got passed on to a friend's house cat. My family had to watch the same cat, and that is how it began. ;) Almost had to bomb the house if you know what I mean. Good topic though...I've got to grab a camera! [EDIT] Here, got it. I just remembered that the groomers for my dog (a young Japanese couple) like to take pictures each visit. They really love their job. This one was around four months ago. http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/3836/joie.png I'll miss my dog. And lovebird. No pets except fish in college. Pushkatu
Omg, your little dog is so cute  I don't think I've seen any dogs like her where I live.
AliasTheory
Yeah, probably not...the chocolate-like color of this dog is kind of uncommon. I've seen the color on a few other dogs, but maybe like one or two. This breed of dog is also not the most intelligent, I'm sorry to say. She loves attention and is kind of spoiled...will always ask for belly-rubs. During my summer vacation my parents worked while I stayed at home and basically lived alone. I used to open my home's sliding door and she would go bananas and start barking at this tiny lizard that visited nearly every day. (I'm sure if I was that lizard, I would be getting a kick out of the mad barking too. :P) And likes to sleep on my pillow. I have dozens of pictures like this lying around, but I took this one off my fridge because it looks the most natural.
Vindekarr
It's a great idea for a thread-love of their pets is something most people have in common. And while I as always cant upload pics, I think it's high time I described my zoo. I really love animals, most anyway. One of my first pets was a spider. She was a fairly large specimen of a wolf spider. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wolf_spider_focus_bracket02.jpg The reason I bought a baby wolf spider, an ant farm. and a large tub of dirt, was because I was absolutely petrified of spiders as a kid. So I decided to learn about them, how they lived, what they were actualy like. because in my fear I had never gotten close enough to find out what they were really like. I've really come to love spiders, Keeping them as pets raises some unusual questions-firstly, feeding them can be... dicey. Most people look at them with terror, instantly and automaticaly filing them away as heartless brutes that simply want to bite them. They arent like that at all. Some are really timid, other genuinely gentle. Many are incredibly devoted parents, and while yes, a good few eat the male after they're done with em, some species go to truly moving lengths to protect and care for their young. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wolf_spider_attack_position.jpg <Going near a burrow is not to be advised, these big girls get extremely agressive if you get near their young, you may be bigger, but she'd die before she'd let her spiderlings come to harm, I've seen mothers carry their eggsacks or spiderlings up entire house walls to escape flooding for example. They're also really kind of beautiful, extremely graceful, very clever, and simply evolutionary marvels. I mean, some spiders have vision that is better than a human's, others can see almost 360 degrees around them, some can breath undwer water, and yet other have been known to use such genius hunting methods as throwing nets and laying tripwire-triggered traps. Remarkable little animals, but hard to keep. I raised my spider "wild" She was of a species native to my local area, so once she got big enough I simply released her. Nonetheless even though lycosidea arent dangerously venomous you've got to wear smelting gloves when you feed them, as they're very cautious, and if they feel cornered, they'll fight like a cornered wolf spider. And feeding them is tough too, they'll sometimes try and bite if you try and hand feed them-they arent very empathic towards humans at all, so in general, you've got to be careful. I've also had dogs. These are the opposite of my spiders. I've had a labrador retriever, and an australian cattle dog. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:ACD_MK_Mishak.JPG http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:YellowLabradorLooking.jpg. They're an odd pair to have I know, Australian CattleDogs are active, athletic, and at times, downright hyperactive lunatics, Labradors are the opposite, fat, dopey, lazy, and such loving, empathic good friend's you'll forgive them any flaw. But yes, I grew up with a golden labrador and a spotty black and white cattledog. It's funny, people usualy say that dogs are better judges of character than humans, I think that's exactly right. I grew up with two dogs and even as a kid they could guage my mood with a look and always seemed to be right there like good friends. There is just something amazingly empathic about dogs, it's almost like they can read your mind, especialy dogs like Labradors that like to follow you around. But yes, I've seen dogs do all sorts of amazing things, they're certainly aware enough to be diplomatic, to be somewhere else when you're in a bad mood, and if you're feeling down, then they used to seek me out and use my foot as a pillow. Cats are OK too, I can certainly see what's to like about them, but I've not personaly known one for very long. The one cat I did know, my neighbour's old tabby, was again very "humanlike" But wheras dogs I've found to be endlessly loyal comrades, I've always felt that you've got to constantly earn and work to keep a cat's respect. They are not pack animals-and they seem to only lke you when you're the one holding the food bag. This is going to sound really heartkess, but I also once had an ant farm. In that I farm ants. The reason I have an ant farm is because I feed live ants to my various current pets, a Tarantula(Big Bertha), two big black Scorpions(Skorponok and Scavenger), and three Assasin Bugs(Altair, Ezio, and Clumsy Trish) I feel that it's more cruel however to deny these critters their nature. Assassin bugs, Scorpions, and Mexican Red Knee Tarantulas are all beautifuly evolved predators, keeping them in a jar and feeding them already dead meat is like keeping a lion alive on a diet of dead mice. So I feed them live ants and other small live insects as appropriate for their species.
