Help diagnose: slow image loading times

I'm on a 100kb/s download connection. It takes the browser about a second to load an image hosted on DarkCreation.org or postimage.org. An image hosted on Nexus will usually take about 15 seconds in the least.

Hi. I've been desperately searching Google for a solution. Hope you guys are still looking into this issue. I can not load any images from Skyrim Nexus. I surf the site for mods. Very few mod images load instantly. Most take over a minute. Some never load. This happens to me at all times of day.

 

Each Static server link came up with the same error message: "This site can't be reached. static-1(2,3,4). nexusmods.com took too long to respond ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT"

 

This issue is very frustrating to say the least. I can't look at and/or compare images, which makes it next to impossible to use the Nexus site for what it's meant...modding Skyrim/games.

 

These are my results from Speedtest.net by OOKLA: Ping:4ms. Download Speed: 124.55Mbps. Upload speed: 10.24Mbps.

 

I have tested out 2 separate browsers: Google Chrome and Firefox with identical scenarios taking place.

I have turned off my Kaspersky Anti-virus program. No difference

I have turned off/paused Ad Block and the Kaspersky internet protection module. No difference

 

My ISP is Comcast. I live in Beaverton/Portland OR. USA

Every other website works as intended. Internet speed works as intended every where else.

Last two days the site will not load images for me. ISP is AT&T in Chico, CA.

Same here. I'm on the Canadian west coast, so different ISP completely.

Glad I checked, I was wondering if it was just me... The site has generally been very slow. It helps if I clean out my cache, but not by much.

Hi, I'm in Australia and images seem to not load from a certain date or point in time: so in the Supporters images I cannot see the first 3 items - in the general images I need to go back as far as page 10 or 11 to see images appearing (everything forward of that the images just don't load).

 

Odd: Yet I just uploaded a general image (which I can't see) but others are viewing and one person has endorsed so far so others can see images fine..

 

The issue also seems to apply to recently uploaded or updated mods too.

 

Edit: I would also like to add that images within the page descriptions are working - ie: Skyrim: viewing the Clockwork (Clockwork Castle) mod that has just been added; the top three thumbnails don't load but the images in the description do (I assume the images are loading from different servers). Nor can I see the 90 images the author has uploaded (it looks good too from what I can see!)

I've always had this issue, though I thought it was normal until a friend who also uses the site said they'd never seen anything like it. In my experience, images load in anywhere from 1 to 30 seconds, probably averaging (guess) around 6 seconds between images as I scroll through. I feel like the first image or two loads faster than the others and it gets consistently slower as I scroll through images but then again, sometimes I'll wait 10 seconds for one and the next will show up almost immediately. Really doesn't seem to be a true, markable pattern.

 

I use the site at all hours of the day, most often in the morning (double digit AM) and late night (after 8pm) EST. (GMT is 4 hours ahead of EST so there is some overlap of peak time during my normal site use.) I have never not experienced slow load times for images.

 

I started using the site regularly when Fallout 4 was released about a year ago and have had the issue since then.

 

I am in the US.

Edit: The 4 static image examples all loaded faster than I could switch tabs, let's call that instantly.

im having incomplete loading images.
I detected this issue this las weeks trying to clean and redo my Modded Skyrim using the BOSS tutorial. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10484/?tab=description&topic_id=6304381

1- 75% never finished >1 minute
2- 50% never finished >1 minute

3- 30% never finished >1 minute

4- 100% finished <3 secs

 

I load every other webpage normally.

 

I clearly haven o issues regarding my internet speed.
