edgeburner
Taking care of the country is not a priority, since this is not the country he wants.I couldn't have stated it any better. When he said that he would "fundamentally change the nation" he wasn't kidding. The fact that the majority of Americans don't agree with his "change" doesn't matter to him. He is a self-righteous idealouge who thinks he is above the fray.....It's all been decided in his mind. "Damn the consequences....the MSM will get my back." Pitiful....absolutely pitiful. I never though i'd see the day when the American (main stream) media would toss their integrity aside in a fit of partisan fawning and pandering. The man AND his party are never held accountable....NEVER.

The man AND his party are never held accountable....NEVER. I don't know about how many people did or did not agree with him. I know there was a weariness that held sway over everyone. I think he Republicans did as much to usher in the presidency of as the Democrats. I think going into Iran was a great contributor to that, The economic downturn was the icing on the cake and President Obama was the perfect storm of imagery and spirit that those who voted for him thirsted for. It would have helped the republicans much better if they had not fielded Captain Sominex and Granny Clampett for candidates. Romney followed suit as the most unapproachable person alive. All told this is old news that has been hashed and rehashed. Everybody has their version of reality, but the imagery that the president placed on us for his callousness is, I think unrepairable. We will be forgiven because of the power we weild but this will not be forgotten. It is as if a relative had failed to attend a wake of a son or daughter brcause he had to pick his nose. HeyYou
We were presented with two evils..... I voted for what I perceived as the lesser of them. I really don't wanna consider where we would be had Romney been elected...... If the republicans run him again in 16.... they can look forward to another loss. The dems are probably already salivating just thinking about it.

I think disillusionment will be the downfall of our Democracy.

I think disillusionment will be the downfall of our Democracy. Why do you think voter turnout was so low in 2014...... That's what started me on this line of thinking. The public seems to bounce from protest vote to protest vote with these intermittent elections but still puts the same quality of individuals in the white house when it truly matters, which sets up the next protest vote. I still think the real cure for all this is to change the way our government is formed. It seems that a government created by a group who was against goverenment should not have set the framework for it. I mean, would there had been a civil war if slavery wasn't incorporated into our constitution? There are a lot of issues with the way our government works and a lot of them are seeming us to shut down one party or the next, which in itself silences those voices in that body. The media talks about a government shutdown, but hasn't that been the case over the last 6 years as one party blocks the work of another party and that effectively shuts down government. HeyYou
I suspect it has more to do with how candidates are chosen, than anything else. We need to incorporate a 'none of the above' box on the ballot, and if NOTA wins, all candidates go home, and we start over again.

Have you noticed everybody seems to hate every other candidate other than the one's from their state. Then they are against spending except for what their state gets. Then they want more prisons built except not in their back yards and the same rings true for these wind farms. How can we be all things to all people and still be ourselves. That's Washington's main problem.
HeyYou
And washington is aware of that, so, they chose to be all things to corporate america, and to hell with the rest of us...... Good for the rich folks, not really all that good for the rest of the population. Trouble is, it's those with the money that can buy the influence. And they do. JimboUK
It's worth noting that the other leaders weren't at the march either, they were safely down a side street. http://i.imgur.com/HEVbBam.jpg
