DeadYorick
Do we need to mess with .ini files to use custom textures like we did in Fallout 3?
lordsoulstrike
The invalidate older files is already set at 1. However the ini file itself is set to read-only. I really have not tested it yet, however if you take the read-only mode off you could add the invalidation bsa to it and then re-flag the read-only option so it does not get overwritten. Since the nifs between FO3 and NV are practically identical you just copy the invalidation bsa to the NV folder. I guess that "could" work, but as I said I really don't know if it will totally work. Good luck with that.
NMC
Once you have installed the custom textures/meshes, in your Fallout Data folder you need to add an Archive invalidation text file: This mod can do it for you: http://www.pixelrage...dator-1745.html (This will work until Quarn releases Archive Invalidation Invalidated for NV) Have fun! LadyMilla
Actually, the old ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa file still works, but you have to add it to FalloutPrefs.ini, and not to Fallout.ini. Steps: - Copy ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa from your Fallout 3/data directory to Fallout New Vegas/Data;- Open FalloutPrefs.ini in a text editor.- Find the [Archive] section;- Edit the last line so it looks like: SArchiveList=ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Textures2.bsa, Fallout - Meshes.bsa, Fallout - Voices1.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa, Fallout - Misc.bsa - Don't forget to remove Achiveinvalidation.txt from your /Data folder (no longer needed). Done.

Never had to do this before just clicked the activate button lol On Windows 7, it should be in your C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV\ folder. (Replace <Username> with your own user name.)

RannXXV
Hm. I've tried both getting the manual version off of the FO3 nexus and copying my invalidation bsa from my FO3 folder, and I've changed the line as directed in FalloutPrefs.ini... no go. Custom textures still aren't working.
