morogoth35 Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Hey guys, how about we start a topic where we share our favorite mods? All you need to do is post your favorite mod and a short description of why it's your favorite mod. I think this can be actually quite interesting to share our opinions and to see what others like. I'll start: My favorite mod so far has to be "Posh Mudcrabs". Although it's not a serious mod and it's one of the simplest mods out there I just think it's fantastic. I love that mod and it just makes me laugh every time I see a mudcrab. I have around 100 mods installed and I think all are great but this mod stands out in it's own simple way. Post your favorite mod if you want and let's keep this thread going!
mindw0rk2 Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 SkyRe. This one mod drastically improves Skyrim in many areas
BlackRoseOfThorns Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) Convenient Horses. I'm a hoarder with sticky hands in skyrim :D I keep everything in my horse inventory and just whistle at it whenever I need something. Camping is so much more fun! And you can run over things when you sprint. Poor wolfs, they never knew what hit them! Oh! and it can measure your script latency! Second place would take Inigo. morogoth35 Posted January 28, 2015 Author Posted January 28, 2015 Convenient Horses. I'm a hoarder with sticky hands in skyrim :D I keep everything in my horse inventory and just whistle at it whenever I need something. It's a good mod but don't you have a limit on how much you can put on your horses? If not, why? It seems really unrealistic to be able to store infinite amounts of loot on your horse. Well, that's just my opinion. :P
TheknightofRand Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 My favorite mod is "Legacy of the Dragonborn."For any collector in Skyrim this is a must, it adds a museum in Solitude and 100s of collectables and artifacts to Skyrim which can be found by the player. Most of the fun comes from the visual representation of your exploits in Skyrim.
saurusmaximus Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 You mean I can only pick one? :( Well, in that case I would have to go with Candlepond Ranch. It's my hands-down favorite house in Skyrim, it's large enough that I can bring a reasonable amount of followers with me, has just enough storage to show off the major artifacts I find (like Miraak's robes, Sanguine Rose, etc) but it's still small enough to be cozy. Plus, it's hearthfire compatible so I can move in six kids and my wife. And, it's set in a nice, out of the way spot.
OpenWorldAddict Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Hunting in Skyrim. It's a massive mod with new faction, new npcs's, integrated skinning system, unique hunting perks, and of course dozens of hunting related quests. Perfect for those hunter type characters. The mod author has great plans for this mod, including legendary hunts.
Rabbit1251 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) Alright, I'll bite. My favourite has to be Player Headtracking (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23600/?). It is a function of the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games I really enjoyed. I was dismayed when I found that Bethesda had done away with it in Skyrim. My character felt like a moving mannequin. Fortunately the modding community picked up on this and several heroes were able to overcome the difficulties to make it so. That and the nude mods helped to make my character become more alive and immersive. Someone that I could identify with. Thank you modders!! Rabbit Edited January 30, 2015 by Rabbit 51
BlackRampage Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Skyrim Script Extender I doubt it needs any explaining.
Corwin1971 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Interesting NPCs. Because I play games for the stories.
