charlottenoyen
I'm playing a female character for the first time and I'm a real download junkie, so I'm looking for new armor, but I've noticed most of the popular armor mods fall somewhere between "sexy" and "total prostitute". I'm looking for light armor that would actually function as armor. As in, not leave the most vulnerable parts of your body exposed. (I realize that sounds judgmental, but it's just an immersion thing. I'm not on any moral crusade.) So, I guess I'm looking for a light armor for a thief/marksman style character that blends in with vanilla Oblivion (so no anime-style stuff) and doesn't feature too much exposed skin. The ones I have now are the Underworld armor, Gaia, Vampire Hunter and Ezios Gear. I use HGEC. Any suggestions (or maybe a list of existing armors?) are more than welcome :) Edited November 30, 2010 by charlottenoyen

NellSpeed
Twilight Assassin? http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16745Black Templar? http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20953Sister of Eisen (maybe a bit too much skin) http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25389Exnem (has skin-showing and concealing options) http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26020Ninpo http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=33179 Rose of the Guard? http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34611 Holy Protector? http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21074 Ruby Rose (skin & no-skin options) http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26798 I don't know off the top of my head which are and aren't heavy or light, but you can change that kind of thing in the CS. (And I'm pretty sure these are all HGEC-based; that was the keyword I used for a title search).
Trapiki
I understand what you mean completely! I like to have practical armor or clothing sets and I tend to use a lot of Mash-up sets instead. Here's a few links that you may be able to use pieces from. ^_^ Adelina Armor - I love the top and the necklace from this set they go nicely with my traveling mage. R18PN - FuruFuru Armor This one is delightfully decent and looks fantastic. SPB Mercenary Armors - Great set, I love the overcoats, though the arms are see through if you don't have gloves on :c Tonas Mods Store - Great armor sets and the fluffy pants from the guy at the bar go great with loads of stuff I hope some of those help. ~Trapiki
majikmonkee
I like this set. I believe it's called "Golden Shadow" (sorry for the image quality, I'm one of those "low quality" folks you keep hearing about).http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f162/majikmonkee1975/kat1.gif

documn
If you like the look of the vanilla male chainmail, you can try Female Armor Less Skin: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34242
majikmonkee
As an aside, I was amazed when outfitting my companions how hard it was to find non-skanky armor that looked practical and fit non-warrior characters. Glad to see some more options showing up.
David Brasher
It is sort of amusing how much of the female armor comes out. One prime function of armor is to keep blades from reaching the heart. To state the obvious, the heart lies within the bosom. I wouldn't want all that weighty metal pressing down on me if it couldn't protect me in battle.
