Because I'm out of town and away from regular internet access. Just to keep the "we wait around for something to happen" type responses from piling up until I get back to the story. I'll reopen and start posting again on the 6th.

 

<Edit: I'm back, finally. I've got a bit of planning to do, maps and npcs to make before I start this up... so I'll probably continue tomorrow, but by friday at the latest.>

To Ald Velothi Party:

 

The heavy stone door swings open, revealing another stone corridor. A few torches line the walls, casting a dim light on everything. You can see well enough to walk, but dark shadows cover several sections. About 50 feet down the corridor, dirt and rough stone replaces the usual architecture. The edge is far from smooth, as if decay or damage has erased what used to be there. A few mining tools rest against the wall near the border, along with a pile of stones.
