obobski
no issues with the nexus, or any other site, but gmail complained at me a few hours ago and said it locked my account (yet it's been working fine since the 9th until then - they can have a bucket of fun with the new password  ) - makes me believe the database is slowly being crawled by the wonderweasels

bben46
There was a major hack of the Gawker site family password database and some other stuff this week. - NOT related to the Nexus - The Gawker family includes about 6 or so very popular sites that share a common log on - Gawker, Gizmodo, Lifehacker, IO9, Jezabelle and a few others. If you use the same password for a bunch of sites, be sure to change them all. And use different passwords for each. This password hacking on various sites is beginning to get out of hand. bben46
I personally believe the makers of Viagra should be fined a pile for these illegal advertisements - If the maker wasn't paying someone in some way to do this they wouldn't be doing it. Boycot the products advertised by spammers - NEVER reply to a spam ad no matter how much you are tempted.
Arthmoor
I got one like that too, only the opening paragraph said this:American Honda Motor Co., Inc. recently became aware of unauthorized access to an email list used by a vendor of customers who receive special offers and newsletters from Acura. We want to assure you that the only information that was obtained was your email address. I don't know if this actually came from Acura though because the link they gave me to check it out doesn't point to their domain at all.

TheVampireDante
Axe500: How about we don't? Pathetic little attention seekers like that want a reaction, and to be honest their not worth getting yourself in trouble over. Spamming and trolling them back just sinks people down to their level and is pointless.
FSBDavy
1: Why on earth haven't you told everyone to change their passwords? Not everyone reads the blog/news sections. You need a message box or something at logon to warn people! 2: Why is this 'guy' a script kiddy? Considering the *massive* jump in spam I am now recieving soely as a result of this, why is this hack "attempt"(!) being belittled so much? How many email addresses were stolen and added to spam lists? Why is that being considered do 'unsucessful'?
