Mattiewagg
I really dig Island 2 and the ice cave. Some really nice creepy vibe in the former and a thick chill in the latter. I liked the variety of the assets shapes/sizes in the cave. It looks "raw" and barely habitable. Any combat in there? Navmeshing all that must be a pain but the platforms and elevation would make for an interesting arena. There will be some combat in the cave, and navmeshing will be done - for all our stuff. Usually the dungeon maker does it, but if they don't want to then I'm happy to do it myself. Call me crazy, but I like to navmesh. I'll relay your compliments to horror. Mattiewagg
And here we have a short preview of one of the largest upcoming IQ quests, featuring over 4 separate dungeons (maybe 8, we shall see), multiple voiced characters, and much more. There's also a shorter accompanying quest, a prequel of sorts. They are Darkest Dreaming and Klaft's Karavan, and Darkest Dreaming falls into the category of horror - so there will be some likely disturbing things, scary things, and some such. Nothing sexual or anything like that, just "graphic depictions". For now, I'm just sharing audio with you. It's a short bit of Vaermina's dialogue, The Carver's dialogue, Klaft's dialogue and the other character's dialogue. You may find the voices, and full soundtrack, here. Mattiewagg
Immersive Quests periodically will cast VAs for roles, and then implement voice acting. This is done for quests that are fully written, usually when they're also fully implemented.Right now, I'm looking for a 2 males and a female voice, three different roles. The quests are Eet Speaks (Egle, Misc, Troll-related - IQFF02), The Vagrant's Sword (Vagrant, Misc, crazy madwoman - IQFF01) and Disrupted Service (Bradas, Major, Windhelm quest, already implemented - IQ02).Male - Egle (Egg-uhl) Race: Frost Troll Egle is an articulate, by magic, frost troll. He is the protagonist - and antagonist - of a misc quest for Immersive Quests. Though extremely articulate, his voice should be gravelly and relatively low.Audition Lines (submit by PM, email, etc. - [email protected]):Why, hello there. I'm so glad you didn't run off. My name is Grah-buk-ehgl-ahgk-gru-angrahlk, but you can call me Egle. Grah-buk-ehgl-ahgk-gru-angrahlk = Say it how you want to say it, just give it a lot of hard consonants and gutturalness. You only have to say it once.I imagine you're in a bit of shock. I am, indeed, a troll who can speak. Feel free to scream. You don't understand. This isn't your choice to make. Please, friend, give me the potion.Given the fact that this role might hurt your vocal cords a bit, the deadline would be a little longer. Probably about 2 weeks given.Female - Vagrant (Vay-grent, it's a word) Race: BretonThe Vagrant is a most-definitely-crazy beggar type living outside Riften - looking for her sword. She's the main character in a misc quest for IQ, and is often loopy, confused, and quite mad (crazy mad). Occasionally gets very demanding, and at other times is quite nice. A bit bipolar. Not a ton of preference on how the voice should sound - it shouldn't be TOO feminine and definitely not very "clipped" or "noble" sounding. Just about 20-40 lines, I believe. Not too many.Audition lines (submit by PM, email, etc. - [email protected])Arrgh, I can't find it. I put it here but it's gone, gone gone!Agh, my sword! My sword, given to me by my mother, and from her mother, and from her mother before, and you know how it goes.I can't... it's gone. I lost it. Mother must be weeping, weeping and rolling in her watery grave.Really? Thank you, good soul! I think I may have left it in a barrel. It's at the other Riften gate. You! Who are you? You're here to take my sword, yes? Of course you are! But it's mine, all mine!Male - Bradas Aralas (Bray-dahs Ah-rah-lahs) Race: DunmerBradas Aralas was the captain of a ship, when he was shipwrecked, lost his whole crew, and - a year later - returned to Windhelm. However, he found that an imposter had taken his place, and taken everything from him. Bradas is the protagonist in one of the major quests of Immersive Quests. He should have a Skyrim Dunmer voice, maybe a bit weathered and tired if you like - fine if not, just nothing incredibly energetic. Strong and solid. He's about 40. Lots of lines, about 100-120.Audition lines (submit by PM, email, etc. - [email protected])Thank you. You trusted me, unlike everyone else in this damned city. Truly - I am grateful.I have nothing - I was a rich man, a happy man, and it was all taken from me by that imposter at Candlehearth Hall.Alea was my wife - a Dunmer woman who I fell in love with a decade ago.Equipment should be pretty decent to audition for lines, at least pop filter + condenser/USB mic please. If you normally clean your voice files, do so, but send me both the cleaned and uncleaned versions of the audition. Audition lines can be via Soundcloud, Google Drive, dropbox, whatever. Be sure you record all of the audition lines IN ONE FILE, and label the file like so:QuestIDCharacter_VoiceActorAuditionFor example, if I were auditioning for Egle, I would label it IQFF02Egle_MattiewaggAudition. Mattiewagg
Thank you! On that note - I'm currently working on this somewhat passive aggressively, alongside Beyond Skyrim. Just merged in the ice troll cave and will probably finish that sometime this week when I've got a bit of time.
BigBizkit
OT but I need to know: 1. What's with the name change? 2. What's with the "Is Female?" Title? In what country is Matthias considered a female name?

In what country is Matthias considered a female name?1: B/c I am female and it was a confusing username. It was not meant to be that way - it's just the username I've always used and not based off of my real name. 2: That was back when it was Matthias and people were confused. Gonna change that now. It's not a female name.

It's not a female name.Well I'm flabbergasted, confused, awkward, and embarrassed all in one.. But hey ho. None of that matters. At the end of the day, we are all just words on someone's screen here. And so, shyly moving on.. very much looking forward to this project. Needless to say, given the amount of help that you give myself and others, if there's anything you need, don't hesitate to ask :) My skills are somewhat limited, but I offer them all the same. (P.s. I've gotten slightly better at spell making since I last offered... only slightly that is). ;)
