muratguler
Hi All Yesterday i attacked a conjurer dungeon (Fort Roeback) and after cleaning it i realised that my luck and personality attributes were damaged because of the fights in there. As my fame is higher than my infamy, i visited a chapel and prayed at the altar of the nine to restore these damaged attributes. After the pray i checked my attributes and saw that my luck was restored but personality remained damaged. After this, i bought a strong potion of charisma, drank but it didn't fix the personality either. I want to learn if an attribute can be damaged permenantly (if yes, i want to keep the damage) or is it just a glitch that i should fix with "modpca personality value" cheat. The decrease at personality is not negative effect of a thing that i wear. It remains when my character is totally naked too. Thanks
SandsOfTime404
Did you use modpca to set it above 100? I'm not sure if that's a reason but it may be why the game won't have it go back up.
luxwing0go
Maybe you should run around Anvil nekkid just to be sure. Just kidding. Is is still there when you save, exit to desktop and then reload? It may just be a memory blurp. I has one where, when I bought a horse and walked outside my agility was -161. -_-" I ran fine, so I figured it was a glitch. Saved, qqq, reloaded and it was back to normal. You could try the modpca, but maybe on a new save first - just to be safe. Then again, it may go back to normal when you level up next. muratguler
@SandsOfTime I didn't change my attributes with using a cheat before @Luxwing0goNo it is not a memory issue. No matter what i did, damage remained. I will use the cheat to restore the attribute. If it fixes itself when i advance to next level, i will take back the cheat increase amount with using the same cheat with minus value. Fonger
some odd mods will cause this most notably the geologically outdated MMM version 3.0 has a goblin assassin script problem that makes damage permanent and the solution involves updating MMM to any version beyond 3.0 and using the unofficial patch's feature to set attributes to their proper value.(details in the patch's readme) Of exceptional note is the fact that it takes real life luck of around negative 3 to even find MMM 3.0 any morebut people still find and install it. majikmonkee
Just make sure you didn't catch a disease that you still have. Chapels don't always cure diseases in my game and so the damaged attributes remain.
muratguler
I found it.... It is the effect of "Scales Of Pitiless Justice". I guess i received it as a reward after completeing a Dark Brotherhood quest. It increases strength, agilty and intelligence by 2 but decreases personality by 2. So there was nothing wrong in my game but i didn't think that anything except for a weapon, cloth or ring could effect my attributes permenantly
majikmonkee
Oh yeah, that would do it too. =P
SandsOfTime404
Oh those darn scales, lol. I had always wished I could throw a sigil stone on whatever I pleased and just enchant a ton of shovels to give me crazy fortifications. Alas, I haven't had any luck in those endeavors thus far.
