This might be disliked by a lot of people, but hear me out.

Did anyone dislike how certain armors were so much stronger just based on material?

I would prefer armor strength to be based more on enchantments, that could just be me though.

You mean like how glass is stronger than steel? Or how orcish is stronger than iron?

Also, if the enchantment thingy was the case, heaps of items would have to be enchanted. This would just turn out like DA2, when you find an unenchanted item, you think "Wow! Those are rare."

It's a good point though, but I doubt there will be any noticable differences in the game between armours. A level 20 could probably kill just as well with iron armour as daedric armour.

The concept of certain materials being stronger than others makes sense IMO. Materials have varying yield strengths, metalsmiths have known this for thousands of years. Besides, the differences in armor in Oblivion weren't really that huge unless you don't count the somewhat large gap between ebony and daedric armor, but even that is offset by the higher weight of the daedric armor.

Certain armor materials I can deal with being stronger. In a way deadric armor is magically simply by being deadric.

not confirmed as daedric but honestly don't know what else it could be
If the daedric armor is rare, like in Morrowind, and looks anything like the concept art then I'll be satisfied.
It should be a lot more rare then in Oblivion since there are no longer massive swarms of Daedric coming into the world.
Whatever armor it is, it looks epic.
