The problem i see with this one http://www.regenyei.com/imagesB/Ketkezes.html (Montante) is the massive handle, it will probably look weird in skyrim when compared to other weapons (small and fat) plus if the overall size (i don't really know how big is it supposed to be...) is big enough it may clip with ground and such. But the shape itself isn't that hard.

It's very similar to the zweihanders from Bobs Armory , so probably same size.

Best pic i could find:

Okay, so I have the third person model for the sword done, as well as a very simple texture job. I am having difficulty loading it into creation kit, though, so I don't know how it looks or works in game. I'm still working on it. Should be done later today.

yeah, i think it should look more or less like this to be within reason in game.. although i found a pic like this on the web: http://neo-thought.parallel-worlds.net/piersword.jpg so.. wheew.. :D and THAT would probably look weird..

Okay, Jpcas, I have the sword model finished and I put it in the game as Amren's family sword. It needs some serious tweaking to work as either a one-hand or two-hand sword, so I'm still working on it. I should also try to improve the texture file I made.

No, don't change it into the family sword!

That one is changed by many overhaul and texture mods, will case problems! Just place it and the end of embershared mine or somewhere like that.

What are you talking about? If the mod comes with both a mesh and a texture there will be no problems.

Anyways, Vulpes, just give it a recepy add it to the forgeable weapons under steel category.

I found a bit of info about that sword here: http://www.swordforum.com/forums/showthread.php?73026-The-Sword-of-Grutte-Pier

"The sword of Grutte Pier:

In the collection of the Fries Museum, there is a Bidenhänder sword (Inv. Nr. H 185-C). Since about 1600 it has been in the possession of the city of Leeuwarden, and is traditionally attibuted to Grutte Pier.

The dimensions are as follows:

Overall length: 2.13m

Weight: 6.6kg

Make: Passau, 15th C.

The grip is made of oak wood, and covered with a single piece of tanned goat leg, meaning there is no seam.

The blade has the inscription "INRI" (Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews).

According to the museum, it is probable that the sword has been brought to Friesland by a German Landsknecht and captured by Grutte Pier."

That's awesome, Vulpes! Of course you can place it as you prefer although i believe the solution Noortje has sugested seems most convenient for users.

Right.. this is kinda crazy version of this type of sword, but there were others and i think that if this is going to be made eventually, we should aim for some more conventional size - in reality that would be about 130 cm / 51 in ... to go crazy, maybe 140 cm / 55 in

It's really rough, though. I was unable to put a fuller on the blade, though I was able to make the groove on the handle. Also, The tip of the blade looks odd, a result of collapsing the edges to form the cutting edge of the blade. I am in the process of learning how to correct that. Also, if you look at the blade closely, you can see that it isn't very smooth. So, I will probably end up remodeling the blade of the sword entirely.

I am sorry it took so long, and I know it might not live up to your expectations. Either way, I would greatly appreciate your feedback on the weapon.

It can be found here.

Edit: This is the first mod I've uploaded to the site, so I'm not sure I compressed everything correctly. I apologize for any inconveniences.
