Resistance to change==block progress.

Somehow I still find places to surf and post, and I also relied on that side bar on the forum. Everyone is so ONE clicked that I fear my great grand children will be one fingered and born with an iPhone. :D

Change to make something better or easier to use is progress. Change to make something more difficult is not progress.

Having the section "Uploaded Files" made it simpler and easier to find people who are having a problem with a mod and being able to offer help. It was one of the sections I checked many times a day.

I know that there are others that have done the same and offered what help they could. There will be a lot of unanswered questions and problems unsolved simply because people who can help will not go through the individual mod pages.

Another change that was made was not listing on the opening page the individual game forums. There are quite a few posts in the PC Gaming forum that should be posted in the relevant game forum.

With a generic name of Nexus site forums, new members do not know that is where you will find the individual game forums.

When the change was made and I saw that the individual game forums were not listed, I just clicked on Nexus site forums to see what was there.

New members would not know that is where you should post questions for the individual games.

They are also panning out serious issues and whatnot. As I understand it, Dark0ne and Team are transitioning and looking for solutions.

Maybe there could be an additional forum for transitioning help and support to>> bug-tracking threads...to help the newbs and the transition to bug-tracking threads for files.

As a guiding light for comment vs. bug post: reserve comments to those who endorse. Bam. Authors can cleanse bug threads with already present blocking and removal tools. Just a thought....

So, if I'm reading that right, you want to restrict comment ability to people that remember to hit a button? Sweet mother of God I hope that never happens, because it would -really- screw things up.

Like, the next time I looked at the forums...:

Robin, give doodmon (whichever IT guy just made everyone shut up) a pay raise.

Eyah, I don't see that, must be because you're a premium member. And unless the missing forum sections are brought back in some way, I doubt we'll ever really shut up about it. Removing a fairly useful utility is bound to get you some (IMHO, deserved) flak, especially if it happens without warning like it did here.

In response to post #26414039. #26419559 is also a reply to the same post.

with this change, I doubt I will find a reason anymore to follow the forums.

The great thing about the nexus community was that I could enter the forums, go inside the section *'game's name* uploaded files' and simply read the discussion topics for every mod out there.

I admit that I would not even met many mods if it wasn't for that section. Add to that it was simply a pleasure to read feedbacks, users queries, different questions related to the mod themselves.

You simply removed what made the Nexus special and made it a generic forum; from now on I will just track a few mods and be done with it.

An alternative solution would be to add a "Last commented" filter to the Browse files section.
