I need a Green Pact food and potions menu!

Alright we all know that food has some boosts. However Roleplaying a Green Pact following Bosmer is difficult to keep to.

Rules of the Green Pact

Only meat-based products can be consumed.

  • Only meat-based products can be consumed.
  • Prohibits the use of wood or other vegetable derivatives as building materials.
  • Forbidden to harm trees and plant life for their own betterment.
  • Forbidden to smoke anything of a vegetable nature.

A lot of the cooking items require plants.

Potions often have plants and fungus ingredients.

Keeping to the Green Pact a wood elf shouldn't be taking flowers and vegetables for these recipes. He or she be using more of the game. Bone Marrow, brain and other organs, to make potions and more beneficial food items.

So is there a mod out there that provides a greenpact following Bosmer the benefits of potions and food items without breaking this religious code?

Then buy potions, bosmer used to buy wood for other places to make their houses.

That because the green pact only applies to their homeland because of the local spirit that allowed them to stay in exchange to not harm the forest. It gave no dames when it about other forests.

So harvest the hell you want.

Expect if you were RPing a very naive bosmer.

I play as a Green Pact following Bosmer. It is not very hard to do if you know what you can consume and can not consume.

On the subject of alchemy, yes you can make potions and poisons! There are plenty of ingredients around that is not plant based. Salt and any fungus is completely allowed as well as any ingredients from insects, animals and creatures. Stay away from and do not use any potions that you find or can buy, you don't know what they were made with.

Here is a webpage that gives a list of Green Pact friendly ingredients according to the potion you wish to brew.

As for food, use this as your primary source for healing (if you are not using restoration). Go for the higher based items like steamed mudcrab legs, those have 12 points of health. Don't waste your time with anything that provides less than 10 points of health. Drinks, unless if you have Hearthfire to buy milk, stay away from them.

For additional healing get Namira's ring, you are bound to cannibalistic survival after all.

Bows, Bosmer in Valenwood have no problem using imported wood to build homes and use to make weapons with. If you don't feel right about smithing bows and arrows then I suggest to use what you find or level up your smithing and craft dragon bone weapons, if you have dawnguard. You could look for a mod that allows you to buy firewood from vendors, or use a weapons mod like Ghosu's Horker weapons pack.

Also don't buy a home or build one if you have Hearthfire, but instead use the Alchemist's Shack for a home. The end table next to the bed will never respawn and is safe to use for storage.

Thanks Journeyman.

I know the Green Pact was for the Valenwood. The idea and culture would still be habit even if he could do something like take some petals of a flower, he wouldn't. It be something he sees as wrong even if technically he can. People can eat bugs, only a part of the population of the world does for example. So a Green Pact raised Bosmer wouldn't be breaking the oaths just because he's out of the Valenwood.

That website just what I needed now I know what would count. I use Realistic needs so have access to drinking water, Hunterborn for more use of the bodies of wild game. Also have a cremation mod that turns humanoid bodies into ash. Clean Up your corpses I tried, but it don't play well with Hunterborn. So he might not be eating those bandits he's not leaving them behind either.

The use of Namira's ring I didn't think about thanks for that tip!

Not a problem!

I also refer to this page for much more detailed information about Bosmer lore.

If not already you could also try Heart Breaker - A Killmove Mod.

There's also Ingredients of Tamriel

I still wish that there would be some more mods for Bosmer players.

I know what you mean, but when bomser want something like let say healing herbs, they use imported ones. Many items with plant origin come from nearby places. It common and not out of place at all. It true bosmer try to make use of dead bodies as possible to the point of making mead out of meat, but we are talking houses, weapons, potions, dye, fabrics of all kinds, paper, some types of ink and many more items it really hard to picture them living fully without all that. Even more after the alliance with altmer.

Same thing goes for eating people. But I guess it will be odd leaving them alone for him. Dead Body Collision Fix - With Improved Fireball Spell has burn corpse spell if he uses magic.

I primary an archer so getting up close and personal kill moves are very rare. I'm a stealthy archer type shoot from the shadows. Thinking of using bound weapons as well for a) unlimited ammo and b) bow that doesn't use wood. I also have the Bosmer armor pack just love the look of it.

I use http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8543/? to get rid of the human remains.

Imperious races of skyrim gives the bosmer the cannibal option. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61218/?

It's an interesting challenge playing a Green Pact following Bosmer. I'm enjoying the Roleplay.
