Did you become a Mod Maker or a Collector?

I originally stopped by here to get hints on modding and support from other modding members. it seems like a lifetime has passed.

While playing Morrowind I had idea's to improve the game by simple tweak's and twist's. I found out when I arrived at, "The Elder Scroll's Nexus", many people already had the same idea and made mods I enjoyed adding to my game.

How about all of you?

Did you forge ahead and learn to make a better mod yourself?

Or did you find such an excellent bunch of mod's already for you here and become a mod collector?

I think I started out trying to find the perfect house mod. Didn't find one that suited what I wanted and none of my requests were answered, so I downloaded the manual for the CS and got started. Then I found I liked killing players more so I made dungeons.

I don't actually download many other mods except to see how their scripting works, modders' resources, or if it's a particularly ingenious mod.

My very very first modding foray was probably back when I found that you could use placeatme in Morrowind to place objects stolen from other cells. Then I build an astronomy tower into my Hlaalu manor and filled the gaps in with pillows.

A collector, but I often pick bits and pieces of various mods I've downloaded, edit them to suit my tastes and end up using the files I've modified instead of the original mod.

Can't really call myself a modder even though I actually have a mod on NVNexus, the work I do is really amateur stuff in the G.E.C.K.

I am mostly a mod collector, but I have tested myself in the Morrowind CS a few times and with a little help from a tutorial I managed to make a house mod. I haven't got the chance to mod Oblivion or any other games, but I might give it a try. I'm afraid that I might like it and loose my interest in actualy playing the games. I get my new PC sometime next week, but at first I don't even want to think about modding, just play, play and play, until I become a frickin' zombie, then play some more.
