kvnchrist
Sorry. Anyone that would want to see that stuff in virtual reality would want to see it in real life. Might even have fantasies about doing it themselves.
HeyYou
Sorry. Anyone that would want to see that stuff in virtual reality would want to see it in real life. Might even have fantasies about doing it themselves. So, does that imply that folks walking into small towns, in-game, and killing everyone in sight, would want to do THAT in reality?? Sorry, Logic fail. To imply that one type of 'bad' behavior should not be allowed, because 'folks will wanna do it in real life', but, *won't* do some 'other' bad behavior? That one defies explanation.

Aurielius
I'm a tad late to the discussion, but what the hell I'll weigh in. We already live in one of the most desensitized eras since the days of the Flavian Amphitheater. Repetitious exposure to morally reprehensible acts patterns one's neural pathways to acclimate individuals to it's social acceptability. To use an extreme example that is how the Reich manged to adjust the German people to morally indefensible acts...you start with the young and impressionable and end up with sociopaths. I know that the argument "it's just a game', hence fantasy so why not? If that is what constitutes entertainment for someone then I suggest.... run... don't walk to the nearest therapist. shep8234
I find all of this funny, because it's ok to spend 5 to 10 years on a game that is filled with Vilolence to the teeth, some sex, and harsh language, but yet they somehow want to throw in the morality card, to obviously covers thier own butts, that's just my opinion but here in the U.S. our rules and laws are so half assed backwards it's unreal, there is Porn everywhere, T.V. shows that glorify partying and screwing who ever, but in a game if certain boundries are crossed it's taboo. I just don't understand it, talk about contradicting that's morality at it's best.
