Males 60 %
Ponies 10 %
LLamas 2 % (I only know two on here) ;)
Elves 20 %
Females 8 %

In this context, mods that got overlooked by hotfiles or the pop list. In my survey form, I noted the "Undiscovered" category on deviantArt as a reference to a way to dig them up more easily for more people to see. Edited by Madcat221

I am one of the 1%. I was sure there were a few more of us elder gamers here. Maybe, like me, they just didn't bother with the survey. I do know at least one girl gamer that hides her gender on the internet. I am sure there are more. And from my own observation, for a very good reason. Here on the nexus I have seen some of the persecution. And hopefully helped stomp some of it out. But in the on line games it gets insane.

Glad to find someone else in that low percentile. Seeing this age group's representation, its no wonder its difficult to find another wise old gamer like myself. I agree with you that there must be more, but where are they?

Please keep me in mind when looking for multiplayer matches. In fact maybe you can help me with a theory, I would like to prove/disprove. Talk more later.

Maybe some female modders got tired of browsing through all the excessive t&a mods; there seemed to be more female modders but I think a lot left in the past year. For a woman to come onto this site and see nothing but high def asses and tits, she can easily just leave and look for mods elsewhere. I've recommended friends before and they've commented how the site 'looks like a skyrim pornsite' when I sent them to the front page. It would be nice to see an upgrade.

I've been hanging around the Beth communities since 2008. In my experience there are very few female modders or players in the Fallout community. There are more girls active in TES.

I was also surprised by the gender results. I make no secret that I'm female (nor did Caliente, when she was still around) and I've never had any issues from other people about it; not even considering the fact I'm co-author of the most popular female body mod on Skyrim Nexus. XD I also know of a number of mod makers and users who are female.
It could simply be that a lot of the ladies around simply didn't answer the survey. Many people just come for the mods, and may not pay attention to the news, so may not have seen it. Edited by Jeir

Not to turn this into an anti-steam section but, if you are connected to the internet and have steam installed on your PC, then it is running. The only time steam isn't running constantly, is when it's not connected to the internet. Turning it to offline doesn't stop the application from running background processes.

Yeah let's hate on steam for no f**ing reason because we have none!

You obviously have strong bias if you think Nexus "user friendlyness" is honestly that much better than Steam
