IgnacyOrder
Helo everyone. I few questions and I hope community here will help me with those So before I ask questions I will tell you what Im doing. Im making a Big City mod with my friend and we making this city in seperate world space so it wont conflict with excisting mods or just crash Skyrim overall. City itself will have a lot of unique buildings and shops but the thing about it will be that each shop or place got a safe. and more gold you put in safe more items and NPC and options in the place will appear. So finally there be use for gold. Like Player can take gold back and shop goes to empty poor state. I mostly wanted to do such thing with vault that theres a reason for you to keep gold you getting from other economy mods. If I find good guide to script some actions I would want to make something similar to the cider house mod or Puffs Breezehome shop mod ok so my questions are following 1.Anyone knows where I can find some food and drink models I could use? Like cakes, pies, new drink bottles. Any food unique looking. Dosnt need to be lore friendly either ^^ 2. Where I can find easy to understand tutorial to make for example some items appear and stack in chest every few days? Like every Sundas when I own a building deed I get some items from it to stack like sweetrolls in after 1 week are like 10 and after 2 weeks its 20 as 10 from next week did stack 3. I dont know how to make BSA files. What program I need to make them? Also how they exacly are working? Would I need to re add all textures and models if I make BSA file? 4. Any idea how to avoid grey face bug on esp file? Dosnt seem that exporting face gen works well on esp but I did see people had normal faces in their mods when using esp instead of esm or esp with bsa 5. Anyone knows how to make custom music play in own region?
Faelrin
For food models you can check the modder's resources category on skyrim nexus, and you can also check tes alliance for modder's resources as well. For example, this file has lots of food items and related resources in it: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/1264-catering-by-lilith/For the grey face bug, you can follow this: http://www.creationkit.com/Bethesda_Tutorial_Creating_an_Actor#Bugs.2FIssuesFor bsa's you can use the archive.exe file included with the creation kit, or other utilities out there that do the same. There's a tutorial for archive.exe here: http://www.creationkit.com/Archive.exe

IgnacyOrder
O_O Sweet. That was actually only thing missing. I can make now finally some food house with everything I needed and if I need more drinks and stuff I can make some new textures myself and add to existing meshes. Thanks guys ^^ Very much appriciated. So the food problem is solved fully
Mattiewagg
http://skyrimmw.weebly.com/skyrim-modding/fixing-the-gray-face-skyrim-modding-tutorial4 Gray face exporting works just fine with Ctrl+F4 as long as the NPC isn't marked as a CharGen preset. Be sure you package the files with your mod though.
IgnacyOrder
Huh? Marked as CharGen present?
Jokerine
There is a tab in the NPC window that sets the NPC as chargen preset or not. If ticked, the player can select the NPC's face when starting a new game or using ShowRaceMenu. It's unticked by default, so unless you go out of your way to mark it, it should be no problem. IgnacyOrder
Hmm... I will have to test that then. Since Im sure I did it last time without going to chek any extra options and even in my game after exporting nothing did change. heh XD I hate to say it but looks like I will have a loooong time packing everything in package. Im half way thru and theres like 3000 custom items already. Good thing everything is in own folder as it should. Thou Face Gen needs to always be in folder in which Creation Kit created it right? agerweb
For new food models check out Nernies Towns and vilages Mod He has new bread, cakes and cheese etc, their very good I use them essential if you want a bakery. Assets are free to use without permission but give credit. For BSA creation use Archive.exe in the Skyrim directory - its pretty self explanatoy - Just remember whatever directory you have your custom meshes, scripts, texture directories etc in should have a name ending in data 1. Create a directory eg MyModData with a meshes and textures directory in it (and Sound and Scripts if you have them) and put all your custom stuff in the appropriate directory. 2. Run Archive.exe and drag your MyModData directory into the blank window. 3. In the Edit Menu select "check all items" 4. tick in the Archive Stats panel the types of things in the archive eg textures and meshes. 5. tick Compress Archive and all the other boxes except Xbox 360 archive. 6. Go to "File - Save as" and save to a directory of your choice with a filename that is the same as you mod name. eg for Mymod.esp archive should be Mymod.bsa
