Chairs won't go away!

Well for starter's you should never delete, instead disable. I would suggest cleaning your mod with tes5edit to prevent any issues in the long run, once it is finished of course. I would also check to see if they are linked to anything. The only other thing I can think of is if they are persistent and stuck in a save, and might need a new game to check upon. I had that issue with disabling some ore veins in a mod I worked on a while back, and they were gone in a new game, but still present in the old save.

You did move them below the floor and make sure they were initially disabled with no enable parent or player as one with state opposite to parent ticked? Or something like it? Your message makes it seem as if you had just deleted it. :P Just remember to undelete and disable references with TES5Edit before releasing the mod. But I suppose you know how it works. This is the mod author section, after all. :)

 

Maybe another mod overwrites the chairs? Or you need to somehow reset the cell for changes to appear in-game?

 

Edit: Oops. I am still slow at writing, it seems.

That's right. I remember that furniture markers and door markers will persist in your save.

Test your mod with a clean save, or you can coc to your interior from the start menu, before loading a save.
