hector530
While I totally respect that Bethesda needs to keep lower spec machines in mind when tailoring graphics options, I sincerely hope they keep in mind those of us who have worked hard to put together a high spec PC and would like graphic options that put them to the test with stunning visuals and textures. And let's hope they make every option exclusive so people can tailor their graphics specifically for their own PC. This improves playability across the board, much better than a single Low---Medium---High slider bar for graphics adjustments. That's one of my concerns.Crysis 2 had 3 graphic settings, gamer, advanced and hardcore. No sliders, no AA, no AF, no textures, only 3 words. Where games like witcher 2 have a ton of graphic settings.Everything from texture, to effects, to particles, to post processing. I just hope Skyrim will have a bit more then Oblivion.I'd like post processing effects, bump mapping and SSAO added into the settings, together with Oblivion's settings. crysis 2 got patched to dx11
Iv000
I know, and there's nothing significant in it, I watched Total Biscuit's comparison, and really, I don't see any change.DX11 is almost worthless if it's not implemented right, besides the tiny performance boost. Ghogiel
Behavior and Cloth are separate products.Completely separate products independent from one another. I have the Behaviour SDK and have used it. However Havok do not give out the cloth SDK though :(. But I have looked into it, and it I think it would be stonkingly good and hella easy to use for what it does. It is effectively more or less simple 3ds max modifier, you whack it onto the stack, then set up the parameters and it pretty much just goes, I think there are presets for different types of cloth weights, So you could simulate chain mail, silk, hair. etc. However while it is going to be optimised for the effect... I think the simple fact of the matter is if they say they are combining greaves and cuirass for optimisation purposes then this probably won't be feasible either. Though I do not believe that it actually saves very much resource... certainly not "so we can put more people on screen,"

Skyrim and DX11, I'm not expecting much, but well see.Mainly what I want is sharper shadows, the other stuff is not that important for me.
FireBug2
Bethesda’s using Havok’s animation system (Havok Behavior) in their game This also means there going to be havok clotches and havok clotches mean movin hair, and othe things.I think that is jumping to conclusions. Behavior and Cloth are separate products. I've heard nothing about Skyrim using more than Behavior, which basically only deals with animation blending.Indeed its separace module, but beth know how to use them and they dont care about small money that it costs, so i dont see any resoun for not using a module that is very easy to use and can make thair game look two times better. Actualy they dont have much choice, they cant allow thair game to look old on release day. I am totaly sure they gona use it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykbvOD_BY4Y&feature=related
Ghogiel
There is one reason... it's called optimisation. You honestly think they merged greaves and cuirass in the name of optimisation and would then actuualy do cloth physics? It is nearly certain they just aren't using Havok cloth. They already ran through quite a bit of detail about the tech they are using and no Havok cloth in sight. You think that they wouldn't be screaming about it if they were using it? yeah they wouldn't tire of mentioning it.
