Nethriel
My interpretation is that the enclave as a major faction trying to take over the world kinda thing is over, while not totally destroyed with the biggest groups going to be similar size to the brotherhood in NV and smaller groups operating out of bases similar to what the remants have. My thinking for this is that as stated above they've had huge losses but also that the remants stopped in mojave and went into hiding, if they had a large base left surely they would have just refueled and headed onto the base? Sure there could have been secret small bases but anything of any size would have at least been know to the officers of squads. So they arent all dead but without radical changes to their organisation and recruitment along with a length of time they won't be a huge power just highly skilled and armed death squads. ABVXYzackattack
I never did like that the Enclave repeatedly got their ass kicked by like two people and a random brotherhood of scavengers. They're the freakin U.S government! They have helicopters, massive military bases, a huge surplus of plasma weapons, and advanced power armor! What does the brotherhood have? A shack over in the East they call a Citadel, some random Optimus Prime thing that was made 200 years ago and survived the nuclear apocalypse? And over in the west, a chapter here and there tthat takes out a faction with oil rigs, air force bases, and more? If I woulda made the quest lines, I woulda made the Enclave a bit less of a Rebels vs Empire/David and Goliath and more casualties for the Brotherhood. marharth
Just wondering, why didn't the enclave just bomb the pentagon in fo3?
steamtacular
US government property. Plus they were planning to they just had a limited window where the satellite was overhead. So after Liberty Prime got trashed they needed to wait for it to come back round.
Gracinfields
And the reason it wasn't fired when on the next pass was due to the fact you where kicking their forces around when the window opened again.
marharth
And why do you need a satellite to bomb the citadel? Can't you just use a vertibird? It doesn't matter if its government property. Its been occupied by their worst enemy, and taking it out would pretty much make it completely safe for them.
jukehero461
To answer that question, I'm guessing that the Enclave want to keep the Pentagon intact. And I'm guessing that a vertibird will not be able to stand up to the cacophany of lasers, plasma, and good old bullets that ly out from that building. Back to the main question, I believe the Enclave may be back later in full force, but that may be a LONG time from now. I think their future involvement will be more like the Brotherhood in New Vegas, a low-manpower, high-firepower group that can still render assistance to the player, if it has a good reason to do so. enclavecommander001
if the enclave do come back *i pray they do* it will be at least 20 years or more and by that time they will have hopefully a new leader. when they do come back they will probably have a surplus of supplies because of the crazy lose in manpower. so they may in 20 years have a huge array of tech that they may have a 4 guns to one soldier kinda odds or they may have recovered manpower wise. The brotherhood dont have plasma weapons. A single high altitude Vertibird could have destroyed the pentagon the brotherhood dont have AA weapons.
