Mod Organizer Download with manager not working Win 10

So i recently upgraded to windows 10 and after updating did a clean install. So i had to reinstall mod organizer and the works.

 

After reinstalling mod organizer and all the utilities i went to download the unofficial patches and noticed the download with manager button was no longer working. With 1.3.8 or the newest version.

 

I have used MO for several months now without issue and am 100 percent certain on how to install it and use it.

 

This isnt a post asking for help tho as ive already figured out a solution.

 

The solution is to navigate to your mod organizer folder.

 

select the nxm link exe

 

and click register

 

download with manager works as normal again.

 

 

Question is however is this windows 10 specific or is this a recent MO change and or problem? I never had this issue before with windows 7.

make sure you are completely updated with Win10 before installing stuff. You need all of .Net updated, and possibly might need some REDIST of C++ from 2005-1015 which can all be done through windows update.

I only recently started using M.O. ; my os is Win 7. I have had the same problem from the start after installing M.O. ( Download with manager no workie) and just solved it (same fix as you mentioned) with some help from some of the guys over at http://forum.step-project.com/forum/98-mod-organizer-with-step/.

According to windows update i have all the updates installed.

Not sure why you linked me to the MO mod page and the step pages on how to set up MO. I assure you 100% i know how to setup and use it.

Certain games wont even launch without the .net framework up to date. All my games operate flawlessly. My system is up to date.

Thank you. Glad it wasnt just me. After dolng what i posted all is good. I read a thread very similar to that one which is what got me looking in the folder in first place lol.
