cedaie
So I did some digging around for some visual inspiration for some female power armors. Some of these are a little mroe form fitting then others. But i more liked the style or look on some of them that might spark some more creative juices for ya. One Two three four Yeah see that's the kind of idea I'm looking at. Nice finds, especially three it's like a tank that keeps you with all the advantages of being in your bi-pedal humanoid form; because societies are built around that shape. It's not merely a heavy armor in any case. Such is the current advancements of Military Power Armor which exists in the Fallout lore. What I'm looking at is a specifically experimental version of Power armor that sacrifices protection for mobility, but maintains every other advantage of PA, including jetpack usage, landing from any height, etc. On top of those advantages, I'm also envisioning that because it's a lighter mass, you're actually faster and more agile than your standard human form, from the capabilities of hydraulics. Now, all of this said, of course.. sounds like an incredibly overpowered unit - but, in a world of ballistics/explosions etc, that sacrifice in protection is a big deal. Captain_Brian
Fallout 3 had a couple of mods that did this, I'd be up for it: http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/120/images/18100-1-1345840675.jpg Another angle: http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/120/images/18100-2-1345840675.jpg
Captain_Brian
You could make this as a totally separate set than the original. A "slim" power armor, with lower defense but higher speed and reduced power usage. I could see a good amount of demand for that even with male versions if it was balanced properly. I figured I would just link to them directly to give the original artists some traffic and credit. But some more good powerarmorish looks that aren't quite so bulky. I kind of dig this idea in power armor myself. I enjoy the tanky side of it but I've always been more of an agility type myself. Scout version's so to say. Meant not for direct engagements but recon jobs. With protection just to get you out of a skirmish and speed to get you away from the threat. FishBiter
There's no tactical advantage to giving your armor sexy hips and big boobs, but I'm sure there will be plenty of people who big boobs, child bearing hips, slim waist, and their character's face and hair showing even if they're wearing a helmet on their armor that this will definitely be done, because for some of us if we can't see that there's a sexy girl body in there then the power armor isn't even worth using unless we're truly desperate for its protection. Heck, we'll probably even see power armor with a bare midriff. Oh who am I kidding, we're going to see "micro-bikini power armor". So there's some ideas for your discussion. I kind of enjoy a mix of function and fashion in video games. In terms of realism one looks for function over form, but hey being as though I can respawn here...I'm not worried about breaking the immersion when I can make grenades out of radioactive cola :P I'm not a fan of the thong armor all over but lets be honest the large percentage of gamers are guys, and guys like seeing sexy girls so  that kind of mods are going to happen. Hell i had the sexy super high detail in Skyrim, mainly for the ascetics of it all and how well made they were. Because I used the HD normal armors as well. So basically you just saw naked corpses that got looted >.> They wife would walk by and laugh...."WAIT WHAT WHY IS THAT PERSON NAKED......and missing their head!! shinthomas
I don't think it's believable enough protection wise to be full on power armor with the same protection benefits as the bulky crap if you slim it down too much. But I definitely like the high tech look you're going for. What if you made it into an end game recon power armor, that buffs stealth, movement and energy weapons? since it wouldn't need all that energy from the core to move all the bulky crap around. should be easily doable once they release the tools. If you're interested in making it lore friendly, you could tie it to the institute. Use their fully uparmored heavy armor suits as inspiration maybe? Hell, you could give it even better protection then the others, but make it an energy based dampening system that drains core power everytime you take damage instead of using durability. It would actually make synths dangerous. Yeah,.... a tier above the x-01. An institute designed set of more anatomical pa that doesn't look like a walking coffee can. That's just my suggestion. Would you make a male version also? I would also suggest looking at the sisters of battle from 40k if you want to make a more traditional armor approach to it. http://toyznthehood.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Sister-of-Battle.png http://bloodcor.deviantart.com/art/power-armor-349719303
Beriallord
Why not just make a lighter variant of power armor when the tool kits get released? Less weight, less protection, more mobile, lower fusion core usage. It doesn't have to be female centric, although it could look better on females. You could have some different mods available for the lighter set as well. I had another idea for a heavier power armor frame (the regular power armor would be medium comparatively speaking) with weapons built into the frame. Like a chain gun or missile launcher on your shoulder, or a buster cannon for an arm (think megaman), or a giant fist spike for unarmed combat, or a defensive shield on your left arm. I want it to believable in the fallout world. I'm not after skimpy, or big boob/hips etc. That's not my thing. I'm designing for function and reason. Now that I've played an unhealthy amount of Fallout, I can start to look at drawing up some concept art in prep for the tools.
